A few days after his fight with Darren, Y/N was back at Pym's house. The old man was wearing a sling around his arm and sat in an armchair upstairs. Y/N had just finished recounting his journey and subsequent return from the quantum realm. Hank was trying to see if the young man remembered seeing anyone else down there, hopefully his wife and daughter.

Hank: Y/N, please. You don't remember anything?

Y/N: I'm sorry, Hank. I don't. It all just seems fuzzy in my memory. All I really remember was the sense of falling.

The young man was lying. He did remember one other thing. A sense of loneliness. It was hard to describe, but the black void of the quantum realm felt cold and empty. He felt hopeless and great despair while down there. He didn't tell Pym this as he didn't want him to worry any further.

Hank: Well, I suppose the human mind just can't comprehend the experience. Still, you made it. You went in, and you got out. It's amazing.

Y/N: I'm just glad it worked. Hank, wherever Hope and Janet are down there, I'm sure they're safe.

Hank: I hope so. Here, I've been meaning to give you this.

Pym reached into his back pocket and pulled out a vanilla envelope. He handed it to the young man. Inside was a fat wad out cash.

Hank: A deal's a deal. That should be enough to cover the mortgage as well as pay for the damages to the house.

Y/N: Hank, thank you. Really.

The two were silent for a moment before Hank spoke again.

Hank: Well, I guess you'll be on your way. Go live your life to the fullest, Y/N.

Y/N: Hank, my offer still stands. If you need an assistant or any help at all, I'd be happy to join you.

Hank: Really?

Y/N: Well, I still think my criminal record will make it difficult to get a job anyways. Besides, it could be fun.

Hank thought for a moment. He slowly grinned as he looked back at the young man. He admired his dedication and attitude.

Hank: Well, I suppose there are a few old projects that I'd like to dust off. Maybe see what I can do with an honest pupil.

Y/N: That sounds great.

Hank: I'll be in touch, Ant-Man.

Y/N smiled and got up out of his seat. He shook Pym's good hand.

Y/N: Is it still too late to change the name?

Hank: Yes.

Y/N: Alright. But what about "Micro-Man" or "The Atom" or "The Invisible Thief"?

Hank: You're full of shit. You know that, right?

Y/N: I know.

The two grinned at each other and Y/N left. This was certainly going to be an interesting job opportunity.

Y/N was back home with Scott and Cassie. They were having dinner with Paxton. The policeman had something he wanted to tell Y/N.

Paxton: Y/N, I spoke with my captain today. He wanted a report on the night that you got out of jail. Something happened with the cameras. Some circuits got fried. But I told him that you were processed correctly.
