San Francisco, California   Present Day

The school bell rang and Cassie Lang exited her class. She walked outside with her other classmates for pickup. Looking around, she tried to find anyone she may know.

She suddenly heard a familiar car horn and looked to the side of the street. Parked by the curb was a beige orange van. Her cousin was behind the wheel waving at her. The little girl ran over and hopped in the passenger seat.

Y/N: Hey, squirt. How was school?

Cassie: Good. I got first in my class spelling bee.

Y/N looked at her and smiled brightly.

Y/N: Tulip, that's awesome! Go you!

Cassie: Thanks. We also got our science projects today.

Y/N: Oh yeah? How was that?

Cassie: I think I'm going to do mine over ants.

Y/N shook his head and chuckled to himself.

Y/N: Of course you are.

Cassie: What?! They're very interesting insects. Plus, you make them look so cool! It must be amazing to run around with them.

Y/N: It is pretty cool. Although, I wouldn't recommend their diet. That's a mistake I'm not making again.

He did a gargling motion with his mouth as if he were throwing up in his hands. Cassie laughed at his antics, her smile bigger than ever.

Y/N: Speaking of which, what do you say we get something to eat?

Cassie: Sure.

The two stepped out of a DQ restaurant each holding Blizzard sundaes. They were comparing flavors and different variations of the desert.

Y/N: Alright, what would you say is the best flavor for summer holidays?

Cassie: I think cookie dough is the best for a hot day after swimming. Mint is good for St. Patrick's Day. I'd recommend M&Ms for Veterans Day. And red velvet is also good for 4th of July parties.

Y/N: That's a solid choice. Although, it's not so great when you have to go to the bathroom and think you're bleeding.

She laughed again at his joke as they walked back to the van.

Cassie: Hey, how come you don't go to Baskin-Robbins anymore?

Y/N: Let's just say I have a complicated history with their staff. Good smoothies though.

Y/N pulled up to a small store in Downtown San Francisco. The sign above it read "X-Con Security Consultants." Cassie hopped out of the vehicle and she and her cousin stepped inside, making their way to the second floor. They stepped inside the office and Y/N spoke in a fake German accent.

Y/N: Hello, I am looking for solutions on how to keep a certain little girl scout who thinks she's cute from eating my stash of Oreos.

Cassie giggled and punched him in the arm. Y/N tickled her in the side and she laughed while running from him. Y/N looked over at Luis, Kurt, Dave, and his Uncle Scott who were each behind desks working on stuff.
