Loki was pacing around in his cell. He stopped when he felt a new presence. It was as if he was being watched.

Loki: There's not many people who can sneak up on me.

Natasha: But you figured we'd come.

Both Natasha and T'Challa were standing outside the cell. They had snuck in undetected by the god of mischief. The two stared at him with stern faces.

Loki: After what every tortures Fury can concoct, you would appeal to my humanity. The charade of "good cop, bad cop" as I believe you call it here on Midgard.

T'Challa: What have you done with my sister? Where is she now?

Loki: I'd say I've expanded her mind. The knowledge was already there. I just pushed her in the right direction.

T'Challa: You are a warrior. You fight for a throne. Once you've won, and you are the king of the mountain, what happens to her?

Loki: What happens to all allies. They are made potential threats to the throne. They must be eliminated.

T'Challa: Your brother is right. You are not fit to be a king.

T'Challa approached the glass and stared at Loki with cold eyes.

T'Challa: If you harm my sister in any way, I will hunt you down and dispose of you personally.

Loki: Ah, is this act of revenge meant to frighten me, or is it meant to show just how pathetic you would be as king? I've heard of your people, your secrets. You hide behind your walls and yet have the audacity to declare my open throne a deceit. We both know how cruel this world can be. We both have fathers who have done cruel things in the name of their kingdoms. We both also have the means with which to save it. I'm just the one who decided to act on it.

T'Challa: You know nothing about my father or my people.

Natasha looked over at T'Challa. She could see that Loki was getting under his skin. She nodded for him to leave so that she could speak to Loki personally. T'Challa left hesitantly and gave Natasha the room.

Natasha: Let's get one thing straight. I'm not royalty. I come here only on behalf of the prince.

Loki: Really? You have no stake in this grand empire? You don't care if your own falls?

Natasha: Regimes fall every day. I tend not to weep over that, I'm Russian, or at least I was. I'll ask again. Where is she?

Loki: Is this question being asked by you or the panther prince? What can her safety mean to you?

Natasha: Let's just say I find it as a way of repaying my own debt.

Loki: Tell me.

Loki sat down on the seat in the back of his cell. Natasha pulled up a chair and sat down in it, still maintaining a watchful eye on the god in front of her.

Natasha: Before I worked for S.H.I.E.L.D., I made a name for myself. I have a very specific skill set. I didn't care who I used it for, or on. Royalty included. I got on S.H.I.E.L.D.'s radar in a bad way. One of their best agents was sent to kill me. He made a different call. He showed me how to be a better person. Since then, I've made it my personal goal to wipe the slate clean. Make up for my misdeeds. Finding the princess is just another way of doing that.

Loki: And what will you do if I vow to spare her?

Natasha: Not let you out.

Loki: No, but I like this. Your world in the balance, and you bargain for a young princess whose nation won't even mean anything once I rule.
