Spider-Man glided towards the Stark tower. When he was close, he called into his earpiece.

Peter: Alright, I'm here. Y/N, do you copy?

Y/N: I'm on my way, Spider-Man. Keep Loki distracted. I'm going to see if I can steal his little blue crystal.

Y/N was on the back of Ant-tonio and flying towards the tower's roof. There, he spotted Selvig's device with the tesseract in the center. Hopefully he could shut it down before it had a chance to activate.

Peter on the other hand spotted Loki standing on the observation deck of the top floor. It was as if he was waiting for him. Loki walked inside as Spider-Man landed on the balcony. He too walked inside and took off his mask to confront the god.

Loki: Please tell me you're going to appeal to my humanity.

Peter: Why should I? You haven't really shown that you have one.

Loki: I could kill you right here.

Peter: So could I, but I tend to hold back. I'm contemplating on whether I should right now, though.

On the roof, Y/N dismounted from Ant-tonio and looked towards the device. He decide it would be best to try and bump the cube out of its place. Cut the power source, stop the machine.

Y/N ran across the gravel roof at full sprint. When he was close, he then leaped towards the cube. However, he was repelled by a blue force field. He was pushed back and grew to his normal size as he landed on his back.

The young man groaned in pain before looking up. He saw Erik Selvig standing by the machine's control panel. The good doctor looked at Y/N with a grin on his face.

Selvig: You didn't think it'd be that easy, did you?

Y/N: Shut it off, Selvig. Before it's too late.

Selvig: It's already too late. She can't stop now. She wants to show us something! A new universe.

Y/N: No thanks. I'm good with the one I'm currently living in.

Y/N pulled out a set of disks. He thought it'd be worth a shot to try and shrink the device or at least the force field. He threw the disks at the machine, but was immediately met with a blast of energy as the disks hit the energy field.

Y/N was once again knocked on his back while Selvig was thrown to the side. He hit his head on a generator unit and was knocked unconscious. Y/N got back up and looked at the machine as it began to activate.

Y/N: Great. Pete, keep Loki talking. I'm gonna have to do this the old fashioned way.

Y/N walked over to the control panel and examined the wire cables attached to the machine. It was all intricately designed and hard to understand, but he had to at least try and figure it out.

Peter heard Y/N's statement and tried to think of something. Luckily for them both, he was a very talkative person and knew how to get on his enemies' nerves.

Peter: So, you knew I'd be here.

Loki: A child always returns home screaming to his parents.

Peter: Actually, I'm from Queens, not Manhattan. Better traffic and the food has more flavor. Sure, we don't have Times Square, but the cab drivers are a little nicer. Would you like a tour before you destroy it all?

Loki: You speak boldly for a child. And yet, your choice of wardrobe betrays your maturity.

Peter: Hey, first of all, I'm fifteen so I'm technically not a child. And second, you're one to talk about wardrobe choice. What, did Victoria's Secret not have anything on the Norse pope? You should look at the opera. They'd love your attire.
