The Avengers Compound was bustling. Work crews repaired the damage caused by Ultron and his minions. Former and trusted S.H.I.E.L.D. employees helped move new and old equipment throughout the facility.

In one of the rooms, Peggy was going over a few new murals designed by local fans of the Avengers. They depicted each member of the Avengers in different art styles relevant to them. Carter's was designed to look like a 1940s war bond advertisement. She smiled a bit at it before changing expressions. T'Challa leaned against the open doorway and looked at her.

T'Challa: Something on your mind?

Peggy: A bit too much, I'm afraid.

T'Challa: You're troubled.

Peggy: Now that's an understatement.

He walked over to her and she turned to look at him.

Peggy: How do you do it? Raise a family while still being both a soldier and a king?

T'Challa: I use a little more than Folgers. I'll tell you that much.

The two lightly laughed at his joke before he continued.

T'Challa: It was not easy at first. Navigating this life is not that simple. But it's the life we've chosen. I've seen you with Rogers. I know you want to settle down with him. I also know that you want to keep fighting.

Peggy: The truth is, I don't know if I can stop.

T'Challa: You never may. Because one of these days, you may have something more than a country worth fighting for.

Peggy: How will I know when I'm ready?

T'Challa: Only you can answer that. And the truth is that you just... know.

She smiled at him and he smiled back. He shook her hand and brought her in for a quick hug before leaving. Peggy looked back at the poster as well as the one next to it depicting her riding on the back of the HYDRA Stomper. A bit more at ease, she smiled at what the future may bring.

Y/N and Peter walked with Thor through the hallway. They were discussing the rules of the hammer and who could lift it.

Y/N: The rules have changed.

Peter: We're dealing with something new.

Y/N: The Vision's an artificial intelligence. A machine.

Peter: So it doesn't count.

Y/N: Right. It's not like a person lifting the hammer.

Peter: Right. Different rules for us.

Y/N: Nice guy. Artificial.

Thor: He can wield the hammer. He can keep the Mind Stone. It's safe with the Vision, and these days, safe is in short supply.

The others stopped for a moment and let his words sink in. Y/N then decided to continue the conversation.

Y/N: But if you put the hammer in an elevator...

Peter: It would still go up.

Y/N: The elevator's not worthy.

Peter: So I'm currently the only mortal man who can wield it.

Y/N: Alright. But let's say I was worthy. Hypothetically. Could my ants then lift it? Are they acting as an extension of me or just as a group of pedestrians?
