The helicopter ran out of fuel and crash landed in the middle of a valley a few miles out from St. Petersburg. The engine sputtered and black smoke billowed from the top. The three people still inside got out and looked around at the field of purple flowers they were now standing in.
Y/N had abandoned ship as soon as the copter began to fall and jumped onto Ant-tonio, flying down to safety. He grew back to normal size next to Alexei, once again startling the man. Y/N opened up his helmet and put his hands on his hips as he examined the downed vehicle.
Y/N: You know, I'm starting to think I have bad luck with helicopters.
Alexei: You should have brought the Avengers' super jet.
Natasha and Yelena began walking away from the crash. The two were still mad and bitter at the super soldier they picked up.
Yelena: I swear, if I hear one more word from him, I will kick him in the face.
Natasha: He's the worst.
Alexei: What is with this tension? Did i do something wrong?
The two women stopped and turned to look back at him.
Yelena: Is that a serious question?
Alexei: I only ever loved you girls. I did my best to make sure you would succeed to achieve your fullest potential and everything worked out.
Natasha: Everything worked out?
Alexei: Yes. For you, yes. We accomplished our mission in Ohio. Yelena, you went on to become the greatest child assassin the world has ever known. No one can match your efficiency, your ruthlessness. And Natasha, not just a spy, not just toppling regimes, destroying empires from within, but an Avenger.
He took both of their hands and held them in his own.
Alexei: You both have killed so many people. Your ledgers must be dripping, just gushing red. I couldn't be more proud of you.
He brought them both into a hug as he held them close. Y/N just stood there staring at them. He knew this was the exact opposite of what Natasha wanted to hear. It was something she openly admitted to not liking about her past.
Natasha forcefully pulled herself away from Alexei and continued walking. The super solider tried to hold onto Yelena, but she too pulled out of his grip.
Yelena: No. Let go of me now. You smell really bad.
