After Ross' intentions were unveiled and Antonia's plans thwarted, life tried to go back to a new normal. The quinjet had been found off the coast of the Bahamas. Ross was found inside and promptly arrested. There was no sign of Happy.
A few weeks after the clash between the Avengers and Thunderbolts, the various members of the United Nations reconvened to discuss if the Sokovia Accords were even valid anymore. This time, three of the Avengers were in the room discussing it with them. Peggy Carter, Natasha Romanoff, and Steve Rogers were present for the meeting. When the countries couldn't come to a clean conclusion, Carter was called to the stage.
Peggy: In light of recent events and illusions conjured up by former Secretary of State Thaddeus Ross, it becomes clear that the Sokovia Accords, which themselves were written and presented by Ross, can no longer be upheld as lawful. The rules and restrictions listed in the accords are unconstitutional, unlawful, and most importantly, inhumane. That still leaves the question then, how will the Avengers be held accountable for their actions? By taking that responsibility in our own hands. In cooperation and partnership with the Avengers, Stark Industries has already presented their new program, Damage Control, to clean up and rebuild cities harmed by the destruction caused by enhanced individuals. The Pym Foster Foundation has also begun new programs to help those left homeless or without protection after these incidents. I am here to tell you that the Avengers are not a military force to be controlled. We are a team whose sole purpose is to protect this world. We do not fight for one nation, but all nations. And with that, we have responsibilities. Responsibilities to be more careful and cautious with our involvement. And they are our responsibilities to keep and uphold. We will not bow down to any political force because that is not our purpose. You keep the peace. We will fight against those who oppose it.
When she was done, the crowd of leaders erupted in applauds. They backed her case and renegotiated the terms. With that, the Sokovia Accords were pulled back and the Avengers were reinstated as Earth's protectors.
Y/N L/N walked through the living room of the new log cabin he and Yelena had moved into. It was spacious and located just outside of San Francisco. It was situated on the edge of a lake with luscious forests around it. The perfect place to raise a family.
The two had decided to officially retire from the Avengers. Y/N had even told Hank that he would retire from his acts as the Ant-Man. His mentor was at first a little uneasy about it.
Hank: Are you sure about this, Y/N? Is it necessary?
Hank had questioned him about it while Y/N was busy packing away his things to move out of the compound.
Y/N: Relax, Hank. It's not like I'm never going to see you again. I'll still be a consultant for the foundation and I'll visit from time to time. I hope to still see you at the family gatherings anyway. Besides, you and Foster have Raz. He's proven himself to be more than capable of taking on the challenge.
Hank: Yeah, I guess so. It just won't be the same without you in the lab.
Y/N: You mean without me crashing or falling flat on my ass?
The two shared a chuckle and Hank looked at Y/N with a smile on his face.
Hank: I'm happy for you, Y/N. And I'm proud of you. You finally get to settle down with your family.
Y/N: Our family, Hank. Don't you forget that.
Hank: Right. Our family.
The two shared a look of gratitude before shaking hands. Y/N packed up his last remaining things and began to walk out of the compound. He turned the corner when Peggy stopped him.
