Do you remember that old song we kept playing on repeat?
I somehow recall all the words, as if they were forged into my mind.
The melody fills my ears and suddenly I am flooded by memories of you.
All the times you held me in your arms, all the bright smiles and wicked smirks, all the love that unfortunately came with pain.
The only thing I seem to forget when that song plays, is how unreal it was for you.
And so, when I sing now, my voice breaks and my tears fall.
Because you will always be my funny valentine. The one I should regret and not miss. As I will always remain that nobody that doesn't even deserve a song.
My funny valentine, you were never supposed to be mine.
