Gwen had always put on a strong facade. She had to, her father was pretty up there in the hierarchy of the ark. She didn't like that but it's the way things are. She always wanted to be like him for as long as she could remember she wanted to be in charge and have power and help people. But then her mom died. And that was it for her she lost all faith and respect for her father. In her eyes he was no longer a leader but a murderer. She understood the low class better, she realized why they disliked the higher class. For that reason she was able to move on from her failed friendship with Murphy and onto her better friendship with Matt. And the duo soon turned into a trio which turned into a foursome friend group.
But that quickly changed as Miranda and Sofia started coming around more and more. Gwen usually didn't like change but these were good changes. Until she came to the ground.Because once again her friend group dynamic had once again changed. Elena. She was always around. Because she liked Stacy. Gwen didn't mind the girl anymore but she knew it bothered Miranda. And it wasn't just Elena, now there was jasper,Monty,Clarke, Bellamy, raven and Finn.
She didn't know what to do with these newfound friends. She never had many friends at a time. But now she had a variety. She didn't know if this was a good change or a bad change, all she knew was that she didn't want to screw it up. And the best way to do that. Make amends with a friend she got mad. Tanya. A friend who she grew accustomed to before their fight. Or Tanya yelling and kicking Gwen out.
Gwen knew she had to talk to her but she couldn't. Not yet. She had to much to do around camp anyway. Or atleast that was the lie she kept telling herself.
It had been two days since they blew up the bridge and since Gwen's slight panic attack. That night was weird for her, she got held by Miranda as she slept and when she woke up Miranda was still there and Gwen couldn't be happier.
But now Gwen could barely glance at Miranda. She felt embarrassed that Miranda saw her in such a new light.
Gwen and Matt were watching as Murphy helped del and Octavia in the smokehouse. "You ok with him being here?" Matt asked with furrowed brows.
Gwen pursed her lips and nodded "well it's better than him being out there I suppose." She sighed "have you talked to Mindy? You know about Sofia." She said as she moved her foot in a circle.
Matt smiled softly "yeah yesterday, she's scared gwen. She needs you by her side since Stacy's too wrapped up in Elena. And I have no clue where Daisy is."
Gwen groaned "I know you're right, but I've never let my guard down like that for anybody and she's seen me in the middle of a panic attack." She ran a hand through her hair and sighed "it just feels like things are getting serious between us and they really shouldn't be. Do you know what I mean?"
Matt nodded as his eyes landed on Daisy "yeah. Yeah I know exactly what you mean." He looked away when Daisy turned towards him.
Then boom the smokehouse was up in flames. "What the hell!" Gwen yelled as she helped people get away from the flames. "Finn!"
Soon she saw finn and raven run out of a tent with wide eyes. "What happened?" Daisy asked as she grabbed Matt's arm.
Turning to daisy and looking in her eyes Matt opened his mouth but then shrugged "I'm not sure."
Gwen went up to Murphy "you alright?" But he didn't answer as his eyes landed onto del.
"This is all your fault." He said as he walked towards the teen. "We told you it was too much wood!" He pushed del. "Get the hell away from me."
The two boys began fighting making Gwen roll her eyes. Quickly Bellamy went to break them up. "Hey! Hey. Hey, stop! Save it for the grounders." He yelled as he pushed them apart.
