Point of view Roseanne Park

I woke up at five in the morning unable to fall asleep again, my face was swollen from the fact that I had cried for so many hours.

I got up going to the bathroom and washed my face, I dried it with a towel, noticing how it looked more acceptable, I looked at the gold ring through the mirror, I did this for long seconds, I sighed heavily, leaving the towel aside and going downstairs. for the kitchen.

To my surprise, mom was there, I sat down opposite her as she was making tea.

— Can't sleep? — She asked, pouring the hot water into the cup.

— No, I only slept a few hours. — She placed the tea in front of me and I blew on it a little, smelling its wonderful smell.

— And what do you want to do, have you decided yet?

She also served herself, sitting across from me at the table, I brought the cup to my mouth and blew on it again before taking a sip.

— I don't know, Mom, I've never seen Lisa like that again, I was scared, she cut her own arm. — I said remembering the situation.

— You know that Lisa faces a lot of internal problems, since she met her, these things don't disappear out of nowhere, daughter, they come back, when a trigger happens.

"She was defending me. — I said feeling some tears flow, I wiped them with the tip of my finger. — I shouldn't be hating her right now.

— Hey, it's not that simple, my love, she was defending you but she acted impulsively, I'm sure now she must be feeling really bad.

— I couldn't look at her mom, I was hurt, we were doing so well, this job was very important to me.

— Daughter, I don't want you to be mad at me, okay? company.

— I never understood why she didn't like me, in fact I always did my job, sometimes even more.

— Daughter, there are people who simply don't have an ounce of character within them, and we will meet many of them along the way, but we can't lower our heads, do you understand?, don't let anyone treat you with disrespect again.

— That's why her mother had 20 jobs. — She made a face at my father while I laughed at her comment.

He approached me kissing the top of my head, joining us at the table, my mother got up to serve him iced tea, my father hated hot tea.

—What I mean is. — She continued after sitting down again. — You have a lot of potential, it won't even take a week to find another job.

— You're right. — I said feeling calmer. — Regarding Lisa.

— You have to impose yourself, daughter. — My father spoke, taking my attention. — Make it clear that if she doesn't undergo treatment, your marriage won't last.

- It is not that simple.

— It's simple, you don't want to see the obvious in front of you.

— Let's not start with that.

My father didn't like Lisa very much but he put up with her out of love for me, I couldn't blame him, she was really hard work but she was the person I had chosen and there was no way to change that.

— Why do you say it's not that simple?

— Does Father know this? — I said pointing at the three of us and they looked at me confused. — Lisa doesn't have a cozy house with her parents waiting for her to give advice when something bad happens.
