I wonder if you feel the same
I see it in the way that you behave around me
And I can tell
What we have is different from anyone else
Cause you stop doing what you doing
When I call you come up to me, running
And I would do same for you
So tell me that you feel it, too
I feel a little rush
I think I've got a little crush on you
I hope it's not too much
But boy, when I'm with you, I hear it
My heart is singing
La la la la la la...

I'm sitting on a purple velvet chair, having coffee and a cheese croissant, staring at the Eiffel Tower from my hotel window. Nkele smuggled the croissant for me at breakfast, then headed out with Thembi, one of the girls we booked the trip with. I mean, why do hotels close breakfast early? Who wakes up early on a holiday? Some people probably do, but I'm not one of them. I cannot wait to get to the top of the majestic steel tower and take a selfie, exactly like his profile picture.
I'm going to make a collage, post it in the naughty group and ask, "Who did it better?" Yeap, that should get his attention. Oh, but I can't do that. What if his girlfriend sees it and reacts? I can't be dragged through the Facebook streets as an oldie after a young boy with a girlfriend. Nope, not worth my reputation. I will still take a selfie and then set it as my profile picture. That should spark a conversation. I think to myself, smiling.
There's a knock on the door.
Me: "I'm coming."
I shout as I walk barefoot towards the door in my short pyjamas, thinking Nkele forgot to take the key.
Me: " You are getting old. How could you forget the key?"
I say, walking towards the door. I open it, then turn, walking away.
Voice: "I do not have your room key, and I would thoroughly enjoy watching you come, babe."
WTF?
I swing my head around to identify the owner of that deep baritone. He is licking his thick, dark lower lip, staring at me below the waist. He must be staring at my toosh.
Me: "You? Whaaaat?... When? How did you...?"
I stare at him in total shock. I'm probably ruby red.
Khaya: "Hey You."
Me: "H h hi."
Khaya: "Surprise!"
Me: "How did you know where to find me?"
Khaya: "I checked your last Facebook location check-in and figured I'd come to surprise you before you leave the hotel for the day. Luckily, I bumped into your friend in the foyer, and she gave me the room number."
He says as he walks towards me. I smile at him nervously. When did he get here? I mean, I was just thinking about him. Did my thoughts bring him to life, or was I thinking about him because he was already here?
He stops right in front of me, scanning my body from toe to head. I feel a little conscious of my appearance. It's great that I'm in short pyjamas, of course, but I have a doek (head wrap) on. I have not bathed; I have only brushed my teeth and washed my face. This is not the greatest first impression. Oh my, he's here. Before I can utter a word, he leans in and kisses me.
