🎼

The closer I get to you

The more you make me see

By giving me all you've got (tell me more)

Your love has captured me

Over and over again

I tried to tell myself that we

Could never be more than friends

But all the while, inside, I knew it was real (Ooh)

The way you make me feel

Lying here next to you

Time just seems to fly

Needing you more and more, more and more (more and more)

Let's give love a try (Let's give love a try)

🎼

I am based in Potchefstroom for a week, working in the nearby towns. The place is called Emperor's Palace, and boy, is it a Palace! The guest house has an ancient Roman Ornate feel. I am in Julius Caesar's suite. On my welcome tray, I got chocolate, fruit and Sherry. The king-size bed feels lonely, though.

How I got used to sleeping next to Khaya is a mystery to me! Considering I am a loner who loves her own space, I now have a side of the bed at his place. When I go out of town, I literally go home to pack, then rush over to his house the minute I return. When I am away, he calls every night to keep me company, and we text throughout the day.

Khaya: "Hey... hope you rested now."

Khaya: "Have a kick ass day"

Me: "Hey"

Me: "I nearly overrested. The hot shower did me good."

Me: "I woke up at 06h45, and my session was at 7h30. Ngaba uMageza in all aspects." (Behaved like a taxi driver.)

Me: "Luckily, it's all close by. The session finished at 8h30. So now I'm having breakfast."

Me: "Check out my suite and the breakfast area. Have a great day." I send him pictures.

Khaya: "Shit!!!"

Me: "What is Shit?!"

Khaya: "That's an awesome place you are at. Fugging hell!"

Me: "I know hey... It makes me yearn for a holiday. Better yet, a home like this."

Khaya: "Lol... that's where we differ. I am not the picket fence, 2 and a half kids guy. I wanna be on a rooftop somewhere. Lol"

Me: "Lolololololol. Can the rooftop have a spectacular view? We can't holiday on a rooftop."

Me: "There has to be a picket fence somewhere on the coast or by a dam."

Khaya: "Yeah, I guess so."

Me: "Guess what?"

Khaya: "What?"

Me: "Daily frustrations aside. I have had an incredible couple of weeks. It finally sank in today that I have been smiling and laughing since Sunday. Thanks for sharing your time, energy and bed with me."

Khaya: "Lol... I'm glad you're enjoying your time with me."

Me: "Always."

Me: "Have to be on the road by 6 am. Wish me luck waking up."

Khaya: "Oh, fugging hell!"

Me: "I know."

...

Me: "Good morning."
