🎼

I keep on fallin'

In and out of love

With you

Sometimes I love ya

Sometimes you make me blue

Sometimes I feel good

At times I feel used

Lovin' you darlin'

Makes me so confused

I keep on fallin'

In and out of love with you

I never loved someone

The way that I love you

Oh, oh, I never felt this way

How do you give me so much pleasure?

And cause me so much pain

Just when I think

I've taken more than would a fool

I start fallin' back in love with you

🎼

My phone rings, and I have the hugest grin on my face. I pick up on the third ring.

Voice: "Miss Khumalo, how are you?"

Me: "Hello. I am good. How are you?"

Voice: "I don't know about you, but I am excited to see you later today."

Me: "Me too. Counting down the hours."

Voice: "I have sent you an email with all the details."

Me: "I will check it in a bit. See you in 3 hours."

Voice: "Great, see you later."

It feels like time is moving slowly. My day is once again functional and not productive. My thoughts are stuck on that moment I will be sitting across the table from those deep, brown eyes. I carry on with my day, and I get a text to confirm whether we are still meeting at Callistos for supper. I reply, "YES, I'll call you once I am done". It is time to head to my afternoon date. I switch off my laptop and get going. I got a bounce on my step.

I arrive, and as anticipated, I am sitting across the table from his brown eyes. He stands up.

Voice: "Miss Khumalo."

Me: "Hello, Tyrone." I am sure my voice sounds like a song. That is how excited I am.

Voice: "Are you well?"

Me: "I am over the moon."

Tyrone: "Hold that thought. I will be right back."

He walks back, holding a bunch of flowers.

Me: "Ooh, are those for me?"

Tyrone: "Yes, I asked them to keep them in water."

Me: "WoW. I love them. Thank You."

Tyrone: "I'm glad. Now, back to business. Please sign everywhere with a cross."

He runs me through the information in detail. It takes about 10 minutes to get through everything. I sign all the documents. We step outside for the reveal. My new baby has a cover on it with my name on the board in front. We exchange keys. I place all my bags in the boot. I sit for a moment, breathing in the moment. The car smells as good as new. I drive out to Bedford Shopping Centre. I am meeting Tammy for dinner to celebrate my new baby. We catch up on life and men. I vent about Khaya over lobster thermidor and Champagne. Rich people's problems kinda vibe.
