Revolution - Nicole's perspective

"Nicole, you, Clayton, Manny, and Megan are staying with me to go to the capital. Kayla, and the rest originally from Sereniss are going to head there. Josh, and your people are going to go Couragoes. Justin go to Intelince and finally Rebeca to Charitas," Shadow barks at us while holding a boy by the coat.

"Hey babe," I hear Clayton say behind me as he raps his arms around my waist.

"Hey, so what do you think that kid can do?" I ask him.

"Nicole, why do you even care? He might not even stay with us, he might just be like the useless nobodies who Chris and his idiot find." I decide not to anwser, I just stare at the newbie, he has midnight black hair and emerald green eyes. He glances over at me quickly than looks back at Shadow to finish their conversation. I hate not knowing things, so I storm over to the two.

"Nicole, this is a new recruit we have found. He will be in our group going to the capital," Shadow smiles down at me and says.

"What? A newbie going with us to the capital! Is that really a smart idea? Why don't you send him with Rebeca's group?" I demand. Shadow grabs me by my collar starring me dead in the eyes then says sharply, "I said he is coming with us. Now you understand that I am in charge so listen to my damn orders." He throws me hard to the ground. I quickly scramble to my feet and say loudly, "Yes sir!"

"Good, now have fun getting to know each other," Shadow says as he stalks over to give the leaders of each group a pack and a note of where to meet when the group finishes what they need to.

"The name is Ethan," the kid says as he out stretches his hand to me. I just walk away from him back to my group. I am not here to make friends with people like him or at all.

"What was all that about?" Clayton asks as he comes over to my side.

"It was nothing, but the new kid is coming with our group." Clayton stops dead in his tracks.

"What do you mean he is coming with us? You have got to be fucking kiding me! Why the hell is he not going to Sereniss or Charitas?" He screams at me, pissed off my Shadows decision.

I let him throw one of his normal temper tantrums and after he finally finishes I say, "Shadow wants him to be with us so we are just going to have to deal with that. Don't let your gaurd down though, I don't trust him. If he does one thing wrong make sure yoh burn him inside out."

"You go it, I have been able to use my abilities since I killed Elena." Her name snaps me up.

"Don't you dare even speak that name around me again!"

"Why not?"I don' t give him a real anwser I just send a jolt of electricity through his body to make him shut up.

Elena was one of my only friends, ever since I had fallen in love with her brother; Ian. Elena and I had actually hung out more than Ian and I had. That was all before Shadow ordered Ian to find Ash, which Ian couldn't do so Shadow made Clayton and Manny burn Elena burn from the inside out right in front of Ian and I but I let it happen. Elena is the reason I now am so hostile, and the reason I don' t like making friends.

"Nicole, did you hear what I said?"Clayton asks.

"No, sorry. What did you say?"

"It's time to go raise some hell around here!" He screams to all of the groups, as Shadow comes into the middle of them.

"Now, we all need to meet our new member. He is just like Ash, he can energize your abilities and also heighten them so before you all go do what I have ordered you to do, juice up," as Shadow announces this Ethan comes to the center, and I suddenly start feeling this tingling sensation run up my body and completly run over my whole body. I cab feel my eyes change to the magnificient electric blue, that they turn to when I use my ability, and it feels so incredibly amazing.

Maybe, having the new kid around won't be so bad. After Ethan is done he walks over to me with a sly smile plastered against his facei and says, "Do you still think I should be going to Seeriniss?" I blink my eyes back to their chocolate brown but don't say anything to give him any satisfaction. I just walk away from him, until I feel someone grab my hand. I turn around quickly and send a jolt into Ethan.

"Don't you dare touch me!" I scream as Ethan crumples to the ground, as I send constant electric shocks pulsing through his body, but then suddenly I start to feel myself getting weak like something is draining my power. I fall to my knees as he raises with pure ease.

"Look here, I am stronger than you, so don't start under estimating me, or I will just have to take all your power away from you got it so try being nice sometime," Ethan says as he walks away from me to my group. Damn Shadow wasn't kidding, that that kid is powerful. I manage to push myself up off the ground and follow Ethan over to Shadow.

"Now that the two of you are done, let's go get what should be rightfully ours!"
