My group sits back down with there plates full of food since at the mansion we didn't have any barley left. I stuff my mouth full of warm mashed potatoes.
"God it feels so good to have warm food again!" Kyle says with a mouth full of food.
"Hey! I tried you know!" Caleb says while he hits his older brother playfully. I laugh at the two, they can always help me laugh when I need it most.
"What are you laughing about hm? Something funny to you?" Kyle laughs at me.
"Oh nothing it's just you two always make me laugh."
"Oh really !"
"Yeah!" I say while laughing. My sides even start to hurt from laughing so hard. I bend down to hold my sides better.
"Uh... Ash..." Caleb mumbles.
"What?"
"Why is your stone turning blue?" I look down quickly at my stone. The blue streak has increased in size.
"Shit!" I shove it under my shirt to try and hide it but I know it is no use. I knew I was going to have to tell everyone I just didn't think I would have to do it so soon.
"Explain what the hell is going on!" Kyle screams at me. He must know something is wrong. I quickly look over to Ian. He was already looking at me. He points to where his tattoo is then nods his head. At least this whole mind reading thing helps. His tattoo must be more blue now.
"I ... Uh..." I stutter. How am I supposed to tell the boy that loves me that some stone thinks I like another guy. Do I really like Ian? It never really crossed my mind till now. Could I ever actually like him?
"Ash!" Kyle yells. He gives me a look like he is about to break, I can't tell him. I don't wan to hurt him, but didn't I already? The stone felt something so didn't I already betray him?
"I just..." I can't finish my sentence before my mother walks to the center of the room.
"Since everyone should be done we need to start are training. You will be split up in groups of four or three according to your abilities. I already have the groups all figure out. First one is Connar, Kyle, Cade, and Elise. Could you please come next to me?" They all get up eye each other then stand next to my mom.
"Next is Caroline, Kyra, and Shane." Shane and Kyra get up from are table, meet up with Caroline then stand on the other side of my mom.
"Tyler, Caleb, and Sophia you go over to the circle of couches, what you need for training will be there." They all do. All that is left is Ian, Miles and I.
"The rest of you can go to the battle room. Ian show them the way ." I get up and look at all the groups. This is going to end very very badly. Miles rushes up to me.
"How does she know what we can do when none of us know?" He ask quietly.
"I don't know but maybe Ian will." I stand next to him and wait for either one of the boys to say something but they don't.
"Fine since both of you are to scared. Ian this is Miles, Miles this is Ian. Good? Good." I look at both of them still neither say anything.
What is your problem?
I think to Ian hoping he will hear me, in response he grabs his head.
"Could you think it any louder. My head was about to explode there for a second."
