The Fallen

I get up out of my bed and I leave my room. Everyone passes me by, but right now they're just faces of people I don't want to see, people I don't want to know. I make it down the hallway and before the meeting room there are the steps to the basement. I stop before them. The darkness calls me forward so I head down. The basement is dark and cold. The mildew fills up my breath. I start to get chills running up my arms and the hair on the back of my neck stands up pin straight.

"Hello? Is anyone down here? Guys seriously stop messing around this isn't funny!" I yell out to the darkest corners. I feel a breath tickle the back of my neck, I turn slowly then quickly kick whoever is behind me.

"Ow damn, Ash! Could you possibly kick me any harder?" Groans Connar while rubbing his shin.

"Dammit Connar! You scared the hell out of me! What are you doing down here anyway?"

"I was about to ask you the same thing."

"I don't know I just... I just thought I could be alone down here. That's all."

"Hey, I'm sorry I'll just leave."He starts to head back up the stairs.

"Wait, Connar look... I'm sorry about earlier I'm just done. Done with everything. I found out who actually hurt Kyle, they uh came... came after me too." I make sure to make my last words as a whisper to make him not freak out about me getting hurt once again.

"What was that last couple of things you said?"

"They came after me too..." My words barely escape from my lips.

"Did you just say... they came after you too? God those boys never listen to a word anyone says to them." Connar paces back and forth while saying this until he stops dead in his spot finally realizing what he had just said. He stares at me straight in the eyes. The shock of what he said even planted me in my spot. I start to quickly bolt up the stairs, I almost make it but Connar grabs my ankles so I fall  hard.

"Kyle! Hel-" I can't speak my last word before Connar covers my mouth, pulls me up and drags me back down and into a room connected to a separate part of the basement. He pulls over a chair while holding me. I don't even fight because my head is throbbing from the hit off of the steps. He ties my tightly to the chair with some very rough rope. I try to move out of them but it is no use they don't budge at all.

"This is just great. I'm sorry Ash I didn't mean to do this to you, but I just can't risk everyone knowing everything yet."

"What the hell Connar? I thought I could trust you!" I yell at him. He paces in front of me pondering probably what he is going to do to me next... God only knows what he will do...

"Well, it seems you were wrong now weren't you?"

"Why are you doing this!?"

"You'll see soon enough, don't worry."

"Until someone figures out your little game!"

"How is that going to happen huh? No one on God's green Earth can hear you and I sure as hell aren't going to slip that again. No one is even going to notice when you're gone."

"G..Gone... you... you're going to kill me?" I stutter out the words.

" I won't have to if we make a little deal now would we?"

"What....do you want...?"

"Oh Ash you'll see." He walked out of the room. I don't know if he went all the way up or just went to get something... or someone. I try to maneuver out of the ropes again but only end up with cuts in my upper arms and it makes them bleed. The blood trickles down my arm and starts to make a puddle on each side of me. I hear the creak of the door opening, I lift my head heavily to find Connar coming in with the boys who had attacked me earlier, Ian, Cade and Tyler. I will never be able to forget them.
