(With Hiruzen)

Hiruzen was in his office. Kakashi had just informed him of the fight that occurred during the test. He even handed over the cloth Sakura had picked up and handed to her sensei. It was disconcerting. He was certain they were Orochimaru's minions.

"Sir?" It was Anko.

"What is it?" He asked.

"Six teams passed."

"That's more than we were expecting." He sighed.

"I know. Shall we do a preliminary round to shorten the herd?" She asked.

"Hai."

"Okay. Anything else?" She asked.

"Unfortunately." He told her what happened during the test.

"Shit." She cursed.

"Indeed. Keep a lookout." He said.

"I will."

"Inform Ibiki-kun." He ordered.

"Of course sir." She already planned on it.

Anko left after that. Hiruzen sighed once she was gone. It seemed like one thing after another lately. All he wanted was a break. He really needed to find a successor. He turned into the fight after he alerted all ninjas in the village to be alert.

(Preliminary Round)

Anko stood in front of the six teams. Ibiki was close by keeping an eye out. Anko smirked at the genin. She was pleased when some backed away from her.

"I'm shocked that so many passed. We will have a preliminary round to dispose of some dead weight. It will be a one on one fight. Stops when someone gives in or is unable to continue fighting. First up is Zaku and Shino." She said.

The two went to the fighting arena and the others sat in the seats. Zaku looked at the bug using ninja and smirked. He already determined that he had won.

"I can only use one arm and I bet I can beat you with only one arm." He taunted.

Shino didn't rise to the bait. " We shall see."

Zaku didn't like that but kept the smirk on his face. He was certain he would be the victor. Shino stared at him emotionlessly through his sunglasses. Soon the match began.

Shino quickly summoned his bugs. They attacked from behind and latched onto Zaku's arms. They blocked his chakra. Zaku realized what was going on but it was too late. He couldn't do anything.

"I can use both arms." He glared and tried only to realize Shino had thought ahead. "No!"

Shino walked up to him and punched him in the face. Zaku was knocked out. The match ended and he was the victor. His team and team seven clapped for him. He blushed at that.

"Victor is Aburame Shino." Anko announced. "Next is Sasuke and Kankuro."

Shino returned to his team. Zaku was removed. Sasuke and Kankuro took their places. Both genin were smirking at each other.

"What did your teammate do to Gaara?" He asked.

"I have no clue. That is between Naruto-kun and Gaara-san." He answered.
