The team met up at the gate. They were ready to leave. Naruto hadn't shaken the feeling he had. Kurama was also on guard. They were soon off for Kirigakure. They all hoped they could calm the Jinchūriki down and figure out what happened.
I don't like this. Naruto said.
'Neither do I.' The fox said.
"Are you okay?" Sasuke asked him.
"No. My gut is telling me something is wrong." He answered.
"We will be on our guard then." He said.
"Good. I just hope those back home don't use this against me." He said.
The dark haired ninja nodded. "They better not after they just apologized."
"It would prove that I am dangerous." He said.
"Well technically you are but I know you aren't a danger to our village." Sakura said.
"Arigato." He smiled at her.
"You're welcome. Just know that if those bastards turn on you again we will always be there for you." He said.
"I really appreciate that and I appreciate all of you." He said.
"We appreciate you as well." Sakura hugged him.
Naruto smiled at her. She released him and they continued on their way. They kept quiet for the rest of the journey. It took them a few days to get to Kirigakure. Once there they found a pretty abandoned village.
"I don't like this. We never really were on good terms with Kirigakure." Sakura said.
"Neither do I. We signed a treaty a month ago to keep peace." Kakashi said.
"There are ninjas all around us." Naruto whispered to Sasuke.
Sasuke whispered to Sakura, who then told Kakashi. The white haired ninja realized this was a trap. He gave a signal to his team. They were on their guard. Soon a boy appeared before them. He had messy gray hair, pink eyes, and a stitch-like scar under his left eye.
Naruto could tell he was the Jinchūriki. Kurama told him it was Isobu, the three tailed turtle. There was something else. Naruto could tell that the boy was no longer alive. He was a puppet. Judging by the seal he could see on his hand, someone was controlling him and keeping the tailed beast locked within.
"He's not alive." Naruto said, "He is merely a puppet. Something is keeping the tailed beast locked within. Most likely the person who did this couldn't transfer the power of the tailed beast or transfer the tailed beast so they are using this body to use the tailed beast's chakra." He told them.
"Can you smell who?" Kakashi asked.
"No. He just smells like death." He answered.
"How did you know?" The puppet asked.
"Judging by the specialized nets I can see many of the hidden ninjas holding you know already." He said.
"Nets?" Sakura asked.
"Chakra made nets that are strong enough to hold a tailed beast." He told her.
"Don't worry it will hurt a lot." The puppet said.
