Silence

No one said a word for the last five minutes, just the slight humming of the microwave. The house was filled with a chocolate smell mixed with vanilla. Three men sat there facing each other. Two of them waited for the brunette to spit out whatever he wanted to say or ask. Yoongi was getting impatient, it was Jimin who glared at him each time whenever he tried to walk away.

"Do we have to go on a mission, right now?"- Jimin asked for the fifth time, looking at the brunette and then at Yoongi who kept nudging him. It was understandable, Jimin patience with Jungkook was understandable, they were friends, maybe best friends but Yoongi.
The cat-faced man was different, he couldn't bear with anyone if it was not Jimin. Jungkook never came to Yoongi's place alone, it was always Jimin who forced him. The brunette and Yoongi were good mission partners, the strongest gangster duo, and fearless. It was a simple thing that both of them respected their private boundaries.

"I should check cookies"- Yoongi decided to leave both best friends alone. Maybe Jungkook didn't want to say it in front of him, or maybe he was uncomfortable. But before he could make it to the kitchen, Jungkook's words stopped him, turning him into stone.

"I removed the neuro membrane tube from Taehyung".

Just seven words and Jungkook felt those words were enough to stop the world, to stop humans from breathing, to stop blowing wind, to stop time. He analyzes his surroundings. No difference, the same couch, the same floor color, and the same movie playing on the TV screen. Everything was still similar as it was twenty seconds ago, if something was different that was his best friend and Yoongi, both not moving, not blinking, skin pale, eyes widened like they saw a ghost or a scariest creature.

Jungkook eyes got glued with Jimin who slowly stood up from the couch and knelt in front of him. With a cold touch on Jungkook's finger, his best friends intertwined his cute finger with Jungkook's tattooed one. A soft touch on Jungkook's cheeks didn't bother him.

"Jungkookie"- a soft low voice making brunette realise how far he had come with Jimin, letting him be called by this cute name. For others he was a gangster, Mr Choi's number one man, heartless, who neither felt anything nor even tried to feel anything.

"Where is he"- Jimin asked

"At Uncle's mansion"

"Why"

"He needed space, like me"

"Is he safe there"

No response

The brunette was not sure if Taehyung was safe in Mr. Choi's mansion, he didn't know why he left the sleepy boy there all alone. Was not he supposed to take care of him? When did he start to ignore his duties? But Taehyung was not his duty anymore, he loved him, and he cared for him, so why couldn't they be together, why couldn't they spend their time just like other lovers do, why he have to hide that he loved Taehyung? Was he not strong enough to protect him?

"When did this happen"- Yoongi's voice was low like he did not want anybody to hear him, even though there were just three of them. "It's been one and half months"- the brunette didn't want to lie anymore, at least not to Jimin.

"Jungkook"- a squeeze on his hand. Jimin never stopped reading his eyes. "You did right"- tears rolled down from Jimin's eyes. The guilt was still there, what he did would always be counted but for some reason, he felt relief. Jungkook love for Taehyung was not hidden from him, he had seen every shade of Jungkook whenever the brunette was with Taehyung and he was happy for them.
