Yilling Laozu had just been chained and exiled in front of a powerless Headshaker. He felt like a failure as the other gods rejoiced over the fate of his sworn brother. The chains no longer bound him yet his blood-boiling rage kept him in place. He needed to find something he could use. Something he could do to make these hypocrites pay. The surge of power from Wei Wuxian's exile had sharpened his senses further. He was now in charge of justice for all three realms.

He could feel the indignation of the few gods that felt the shift; however, he was surprised by the ones who were aware. The psychotic war god Xue could be felt vibrating in suppressed rage. By his side, the usually calm god of purity Bright Moon was distraught, trying to hold his friend back from destroying the heavens. Killer Frost was for once not attempting to stop the psychotic god from his rampage, unlike his cultivation partner. More worrying than those three was that he could feel the underworld tremble with the rage of the last underworld god.

The Ghost General was an extremely sweet being who just wanted everyone to be happy, so his rage was both understandable and unprecedented. HeadShaker was thankful he could feel the Goddess of medicine rightfully furious by his side. She would keep her brother steady enough for the underworld to stay in one piece for now. They would probably make everyone's life hell since Yilling Laozu was also their sworn brother. No matter how much the goddess acted annoyed at the death god she would still take care of him the same way as her blood brother the Ghost General.

The gods in the viewing room continued to rejoice making his rage sharpen to a fine edge. No, there would be no mercy in the heavens once he got his chance. In the viewing, he watched as his sworn brother's heart broke with the death of the man he had adored for ages. Some of the gods had the decency to look guilty about Hanguang-Jun's suicide while others made plans to find his replacement. It was like the god of justice was so easily replaceable.

He watched the world burn in war enjoying that Yilling Laozu stayed at the margin for most of it. It was satisfying to see the gods begrudgingly respect the power and morality of Yilling Laozu. Still, he knew his friend would not fight for long in a world he had no hope in. A vindictive side was happy to watch Zewu-Jun suffer for inadvertently causing his sworn brother's suffering.

Quietly he snuck out of the viewing room, sending a message to those who were upset by the exile of Yilling Laozu. He had a plan, but he would need their help and the Ghost General's in particular. The only person who worried him was the war god Xue since he was a close friend of Lianfang-Zun. It would be worth the shot to ask; if not, he would readjust his plans. On the contrary, however, he shouldn't have worried because Xue seemed to be the most on board with his machinations, causing him to look at the war god with newfound respect. It made him shiver to have this psychopath's attention, but Yilling Laozu was worth it.....he hoped.

The group stealthily went into the viewing room, positioning themselves to form a barrier against those in the viewing room. They watched the havoc on Earth for a little longer before HeadShaker gave the signal. Knowing his sworn brother he had waited until it looked like Yilling Laozu started asking himself what the point in fighting was. With the signal, Underworld chains rose from the floor trapping every god that attended in place.

Shouting filled the room with the gods questioning who would dare do this kind of thing to such important gods. Everyone went silent hearing a loud whistle. They paled watching as a wickedly smiling war god walked slowly towards the center of the room playing with his dagger. "Now now settle down gentlemen. We wouldn't want my hand to slip." A pompous god opened his mouth to yell at the impudent godling. A dagger found itself lodged inside his mouth. "Didn't I say to settle down? You startled me. Ha ha ha ha ha ha. I'm so silly." The Headshaker joined him for once enjoying the violence the war god was issuing.

He watched the gods, amused by their fear, before looking at the screen that showed the happenings in the mortal world. "I will go speak to Yilling Laozu. You guys get ready to activate the spells if he agrees and remember not to use your own power. That's what we have all these wrapped-up energy sources for." When the group nodded he teleported to his sworn brother's side.

The Ghost General tightened his chains around the gods linking them to a chain in the center of the room. The other four gods touched the powered-up chain, focusing the energy to cast a time rewinding spell. Normally all gods had to be in agreeance for such a spell, but with the powered-up chains of the Ghost General, it was not necessary. As soon as they saw Yilling Laozu agree to the Headshaker's terms they activated the spell only releasing it at the point of the exiled god's arrival.

When the spell finished casting the gods powering it up collapsed into chained gasping heaps on the floor. Even the great god of order looked pitifully drained, but the group did not feel an ounce of pity. War god Xue enjoyed the sight so much he couldn't help but take advantage, so he sat on the chain that held the proud god of order like he was a bench. The goddess of medicine decided to pick a few gods as subjects to try some of the experiments she had been worried about conducting. There was no need for her to worry over her subjects if they couldn't die.

Many expected Bright Moon to aid them since he was known for his strong moral compass, and they had forgotten that the person they unjustly exiled was also his nephew. He went to sit so he could watch the screen better, calm as a still wind. Killer Frost was steady at his side to keep any annoyance away from his mate. The Ghost General made sure no god would regain their energy, funneling it into keeping the underworld stable. The Headshaker returned with a bright smile leaning his head on the Ghost General's shoulder.

Every one of them stopped their activities to watch Yilling Laozu prevent Hanguang-Jun's suicide. Everything was in the balance at this one moment. They all knew how much the justice god meant to the death god. If he failed to save Hanguang-Jun nothing else would matter. They all laughed as Yilling Laozu jumped off the tree to land on Hanguang-Jun like a flying squirrel. The Headshaker painted the scene to never forget it. The god of war was no longer sitting on the god of order preferring to roll on the floor laughing. He was never going to let Yilling Laozu live that moment down. The goddess of medicine shook her head fondly before going back to stabbing a god with different-sized needles and making notes. Now that Hanguang-Jun was safe they were in the clear.

They would watch over their friend's progress in their own way. Headshaker decided every chained god needed makeovers. Full body waxes, Hair cuts, makeup, and more shenanigans ensued. War god Xue went over to help the goddess of medicine by cutting off limbs so she could study how they grew back. Anyone could tell he was a bit smitten with her cutthroat way of seeking answers, never once flinching at the gore. Bright Moon and Killer Frost just snuggled together to watch their nephew's life while eating snacks. Ghost General was just happy to see his friends so cheery again and if his chains accidentally kept cutting off private appendages whenever someone bad-mouthed his Er-ge.....well who else would know.
