A Forbidden Love

Chapter 2

Hinata's POV

As he came closer to me i stood up and walked towards him. I closed the distance and stood about a foot from him and smiled up at him. He had a foot of height above me as I looked up at him. My measly five foot five height was nothing compared to his 6'5 height. His massive chest was right in my face, and if I were to take a step my nose would go straight into his chest. He smiled back and said "hey hinata.."
I said "hey.." Back to him. For a minute we stood there staring into each other's eyes and I searched his eyes for some kind of emotion. I thought I saw something but then it was replaced by another emotion. Regret? Guilt? Anger? I couldn't tell. He gave me a weak smile and said, "hey can I ask you something?" I smiled and nodded,"sure what is it?" He looked down at our feet when he replied and said,"I was wondering if you wanted to go horse back riding with me?" I smiled and nodded excitedly. I loved horseback riding. It's my favorite thing to do. My horse kirodayu and I would go on rides every chance we got when I had some free time. Every time kirodayu and I went riding we felt so free. It's the most amazing thing ever.
He gave me a small smile and said,"ok how about tomorrow evening? At about 4:30pm?"
I nodded and said,"ok! Great I'll see you then!" He smiled and nodded. "Alright well I guess I'll see you tomorrow.. I have to go now.. Bye." He walked off before I could even say another word in reply. I frowned at his utter leave without letting me finish talking. Oh well i thought to myself with a sigh. I was rather giddy inside at the fact that I knew I was ganna get to spend some time with Yoshitsune alone tomorrow. Doing what I love. Horseback riding! Just then Goyo approached behind me and he put a hand on my shoulder and said,"what did he want?" I could tell he was frowning without even looking at his face. Anything that involves Yoshitsune generally brings a frown to his face. I smiled to myself and said,"he asked if I wanted to go horseback riding..." He was staring after Yoshitsune intently. He cleared his throat and said,"well .. What did Ya tell him???" I smiled and said,"I told him yes." I turned to see Goyo with his jaw clenched and he said through clenched teeth,"cmon lets get you home.. It's getting late." I looked around and nodded noticing that the sky had darkened quite considerably. It had gotten later than I thought. Wow time really does fly.
Goyo put his arm around my shoulders while he guided me to his horse that was waiting for us at the town stables. The horse was already saddled and ready to go when we got there. I was already drifting off to sleep by that time. Goyo got on his horse while the stable boy held me in his arms and handed me to Goyo. I don't weigh very much and am actually quite easy to carry. I'm not skin and bones but due to my small size I am lean.
I felt the stable boy hand me into goyos waiting arms.

Goyo POV

I guided hinata to the stables with an arm around her shoulder and I gripped her tighter when I felt her drooping against me. She was falling asleep. The poor thing. I scooped her up into my arms and carried her to the stables. She was so light.. Childlike even to me. I looked down at her sleeping form in my arms and felt her curl up against me more and nuzzle her face in my chest. It has been a long day. She has had many responsibilities she had done before we came to the park. I snuck her out so that she could have a break. She obviously need one. I felt happy and content when I held her in my arms and felt that she was right where she belonged. In my arms. With me. My heart was beating with joy.
Once we got to the stables the stable boy had my horse saddled up and ready to go. He held his arms out and said,"here let me hold her while you get on your horse." I was hesitant to let her go but obliged and handed her over to the stable boy and quickly got in the horse. The stable boy quickly walked over to me and handed her back to me and she was placed in my waiting arms. Once she was in my arms I felt relaxed again knowing she was safe and sound in my arms. I cradled her gently while she curled back up to me in my arms and heard her murmur something quietly in her sleep. I didn't hear it again first but once I listened closer I realized what she was saying. It made my body go rigid. She said it again more loudly this time,"Yoshitsune.." I literally would have gone on a rampage had she not been in my arms sleeping and looking so innocent. Even in her sleep she dreams about him. The guy that is strange and the one whom is standing in my way. From getting what I want. The girl of my dreams. Looks like I'm ganna have to step up my game. I am determined to win her heart. I just have this feeling he is gAnna turn out to be really bad and is Ganna cause nothing but pain, trouble and hurt. And she is gAnna end up in the middle of it. And she is gAnna be the one who ends up getting hurt. I can't let that happen. I cradled her tightly against my chest as we started the journey back to the castle where hinatas family is. They are not gAnna be happy when they find out that Yoshitsune and hinata have plans together tomorrow. I had a slight worry in the back of my mind that hinata would be upset with me when I told her parents about their plans. She would be very angry with me. But even if she feels I am betraying her as a best friend I am doing what's right. I am protecting her. And it's what's good for her. Wether she likes it or not. And protect her I shall.
