Chapter 21 The attack

Hinata POV
I fell to my knees as the smoke poured into my room and made it impossible to breath. I fell to the ground gasping for air. I crawled over to Jasmine and Maria and woke them up. "Wake up!" I gasped. "We need to get out of here... Fire.." I said choking. They sleepily but barely got to their feet and I had my phone in my hand when I fell asleep. I pressed the one and called Yoshitsune. "Help! Please!.." I said gasping. "I'm coming Hinata hold on!" He yelled. I hung up and saw Goyo burst through the door with a bandana over his face. He grabbed Maria and Jasmine and threw them over his shoulders. They had passed out from all the smoke. "Come on hinata..." He pleaded. I coughed and nodded. I grabbed Yoshitsune's shirt from under the bed and held it out to Goyo. He shook his head and said,"you use it..." I nodded and attempted to tie it but the smoke was Slowing down my functioning. I laid it around my shoulders to protect some of my skin from the flames and followed after Goyo. Slowly. I clutched the wall for support. I couldn't breathe. I pressed the shirt to my face. Even the shirt wasn't helping. I fell to the ground as I saw Goyo run down the stairs. I can't make it.. I closed my eyes as I drifted from conciousness.

Yoshitsune POV
I jumped off midnight the minute we neared then entrance to the castle and saw the bottom part of it had flames burning bright. And the smoke was getting unbearable. I looked around the people that were outside and panick registered. She wasn't out here! Shit she's inside! I sprinted for the doors of the castle throwing people out of my way that got in my path and tried to stop me. "Hinata!!" I screamed as I ran up the stairs. I came to her floor on the second floor and saw her passed out in the corner. She was covered in black embers from the fire. I sprinted to her and scooped her into my arms. Dammit! I sprinted down the stairs as fast as I could avoiding falling beams as I burst out the castle door. I ran to the nearest medical tent that had been set up and screamed,"help! Someone help! Please! The princess! She needs help!" I laid her down on one of the medical cots and watched terrifiedly as the doctors set to work on hinata. Plugging her up to monitors. Putting an oxygen mask on her face. Putting monitors all over her chest. Monitoring her heart and pulse. She was plugged up to some kind of drip and I knelt down beside her on my knees. I held her hand In mine and kissed it gently. Her hand was limp and her skin was heated. I hope I wasn't too late. Just then the emperor came over and yelled,"get away from her!" I didn't move from my spot but instead looked at him lividly and said,"sir I just saved your daughters life, a little gratitude would be nice.." He opened his mouth as if to yell at me again but instead he didnt say anything he closed his mouth and let out a irritated huff. "Fine... Thank you... Yoshitsune... I am forever in your debt. Anything you would like I will give to you." A smirk came to my mind as I listened to him list off a bunch of expensive things that could be bought. I didn't want any of that though. It wasn't what I wanted at all. I cut him off and said,"I want permission to date your daughter...I mean I literally ran in their and saved her life even though I was risking my own which must show I obviously care about her.." He then said lividly,"if you are only dating her for money... Or the fact that she is royalty... Or the fact that she is a crown jewel ... And if you hurt her or break her heart ... I will see to it personally that you do not see the light of day.. Do I make myself clear?" I let out a huff and said,"sir I would never date her just for the money or greed that would be there in the relationship.. I truly and genuinely care about her... She is the most amazing person I have ever met ... I promise to be faithful to her and I promise to treat her with respect and kindness and the way she desrves to be treated sir... and I would really like to be able to call her my girlfriend... So I was wondering if I could have your permission and blessing in dating your daughter sir... She means the world to me and this is all I could possibly ever want..." The emperor let out a huff and said,"don't tell me I didn't warn you if she gets hurt... And if you do anything funny-" "sir I know you don't like me and I am willing to accept that... I am doing this for Hinata and all that matters to me is that she is happy safe and loved.... So please sir can I have your blessing??" The emperor raised an eyebrow and said,"I like that you stood your ground boy.. That's something to be admired and you better not make it a regular thing to talk back to me... But you seem worthy of my daughter... Please know she is my pride and my joy.." "She is the world to me sir... Without her there is no happiness and joy sir.." He smiled and nodded. I asked curiously while he squeezed hinatas hand and said,"so are you giving me your blessing?? Do I have your permission??" The emperor smiled and nodded. "Yes you have permission to date my daughter and you have my blessing... Don't screw this up boy or you will pay severe consequences..." I gulped and nodded. "Yes sir..."
