A Forbidden Love

Chapter 36

Goyos POV
I was staring at Yoshitsune as the guards were taking him away. He didn't even fight them. Well at first he did but then he stopped. I was staring at him in shock... He just gave up. He allowed them to cuff him and pin him down. I understand he is a traitor and that he lied to us which makes me mad... But if he is a traitor why did he stop fighting??? And then there's his relationship with Hinata... Did he even truly love her... Or was he playing her... I don't think he would... It makes no sense.. I saw the way he looked at her... We'll see the way he looks at her... And the way he just reacted to the news that she was missing... He does love her... You would be a fool if you didn't see that he did... And it's weird but I feel that he can be trusted... Call me crazy but he knows more than he lets on... And the only way to find Hinata and get her back is him... I'll have to trust him and work with him. But first things first. I need to get him out of jail. Well... Talk to him too... I gave him a nod as I gathered Jasmine and Maria into my arms and led them up the stairs. Believe it or not I was actually going to help him. He looked at me confusedly but I kept walking up the stairs. I would take them to Jasmines room. They wouldn't be happy about what I was going to do though... I led them to jasmines room and opened the door. I led them to the bed and sat them down on the bed. I cupped jasmines cheeks in my hands and kissed her lips gently. The less mad she is the better. I got the remote from the tv stand and handed it to Jasmine and she turned on the tv. She wasn't watching It though. She was staring out the window. I wished I knew what she was thinking. I wish I could just lay with her in my arms and just shut the whole world out. But the world never gives us any convenient moments. I kissed her forehead one more time and walked around the bed and hugged my sister. I was walking out the door when Jasmine spoke and said,"where are you going..." I cleared my throat and said,"to ... Go do something real quick... I'll be back later ok??" She smiled and said,"ok.." I turned and walked out the door and being as quiet as possible I pulled a key out from my pocket and put it in the lock in her door. I turned it and heard the click. She was not going to be happy with me. I just locked her and my sister in her room. Oh the crazy shit I do sometimes I swear...I walked off quickly before they realized what I had done and ran down the stairs and to the living room. Past the emperors study and to the big grate door. I was about to open it when two guards emerged from behind the door. "Halt! Who goes there.." It was dark outside already and I guessed it was probably about 630 or seven.. I cleared my throat and said,"it's Goyo..." The guards coughed uneasily and said,"oh master Goyo I am so sorry..." "It is quite alright... Can you please tell Nickolai to come and see me please... I need to speak with him.." The guards nodded and opened the big grated door and let me enter through the door. The guards remained at the door and one of them left to go and retrieve Nickolai. I walked down the dimly light corridor until I came across the walls lined with cells. There was another door and I was about to open when a guard opened it and said,"master Goyo... How nice it is to see you again.." I nodded and said,"hello Nickolai.. Great to see you too under better circumstances... I need your help with something actually.. Can you show me to the traitor that had been arrested this evening??" He shook his head and gave me a grim face..."I can't friend..." "Why??? I demand to see him this instant..." Nickolai shook his head and said,"he's currently being-" just then a grate door behind me opened and nickolais eyes were wide and I turned around praying and hoping to God they weren't doing what I thought they were to him. I turned and saw them dragging a blindfolded and handcuffed Yoshitsune. I took in the sight of his torn shirt and blood was all over the back of his shirt. Damn it... No... I was too late... God Hinata is going to kill me.. He had bruises all over his face and he looked pretty beaten up. God no... They have outdone themselves this time.. They dragged him into a cell beside me and threw him in there. His body landing limply on the floor in a heap. I know Yoshitsune he would have fought some... Or at least even tried to fight but in this condition he is in ... it doesn't look like he fought at all. I cringed when I looked at him on the floor ... He never fails to surprise me now... The guards slammed the door and walked off.. Once they were gone I turned to Nickolai and said,"can you help me with something Nickolai ??? I need to talk to him... But also I want to break him out of jail..." The guard looked at me like I had lost my marbles. "Are you crazy Goyo!!! We would be in so much trouble with the emperor!!" I shook my head and said,"no only I will be... All blame will be on me... But this isn't right.." The guard looked at me funny and said,"master Goyo... Are you saying he is not bad??? ... Are you saying he is innocent???" I nodded my head slowly and said,"yes... I am.. That's exactly what I am saying. This man here is not bad... He is actually good.. For he did not fight the guards when they arrested him and did he fight when he was..." I couldnT get the word out. The gaurd then said,"punished?? No... He didn't put up any fight at all... He just... Took it... But why?"
"Point proven Nickolai he is good and that's enough for me.. With or without your help I am getting him out of here.. I need his help with finding the princess anyways.." The gaurds eyes almost bugged out of his head.."wait! The princess is missing?!" "Yes ... And he can help find her... So are you ganna help me or not?" The guard gave me a weary nod and unlocked the door. I went in and put an arm under Yoshitsune's shoulder. He was still unconscious. And blessing. Badly. He needs help immediately. I hope I'm not making a mistake doing this. Nickolai hesitated but then came in and put Yoshitsune's other arm around his shoulders and helped me sneak Yoshitsune out of the dungeon and through a secret passage that opened up in a wall. Once we exited the secret passage we were upstairs in the hallway that led to my room. "Let's take him to my room. I can hide him there and keep an eye on him..." Nickolai nodded and helped me get him into my room and lay him on my bed. After we got Yoshitsune settled on my bed Nickolai then left with a goodbye and a goodnight. I said the same to him and set to work cleaning up his wounds. I needed him alive. And able to function. I need his help. So he better not think about taking the easy way out and leaving Hinata. After losing her mom she can't lose him to. God I never thought I would say those words.
