chapter two ˚✧ ₊˚ʚ
"so, let me get this straight," haewon started, immediately shoving a handful of fries into her mouth as she spoke, "you flirted with the preachers daughter?" she asked, a stifled laugh hiding behind her grin. yunjin softly rolled her eyes, and shoved a french fry out of the basket into her mouth as well.
"i did, yeah" she said, taking a sip out of the red slushy that was in her other hand. she had somehow managed to convince her parents to let her go out with her friends for the day, telling them that they were merely going to the diner up the road to have lunch together.
the booth was filled with haewon, a brunette girl who loved to tease yunjin at any given point. lily, haewon's partner, a very shy girl. she was new to the group, so the group had been trying their hardest to make her comfortable. and lastly, yunjin's bestest friend of all time-yeonjun. he was the only male in the friend group, however it created no problems due to the other two being in a relationship and yunjin simply being a lesbian.
yunjin eyed haewon with a goofy grin, "i don't know what the problem is with it!" she defended herself, "it was just a simple flirtatious motion but i swear, i did not know she was the preachers daughter." she said, her grin subsiding as she saw the glare her best friend had been giving her. "yeonjun?" she asked, her eyebrow slightly arching at the sudden stare that was being bored into her soul.
"yunjin, have you even considered the fact that she's probably straight? and worst of all, homophobic?!" he grumbled out, a tinge of jealousy fuming on the edge of his tongue. yunjin's eyes fell down the table, a gulp making its way down her throat. yeonjun had never snapped at her over flirting with someone and she wasn't sure if she liked hearing him slightly raise his voice at her.
"what's her name?" lily asked, an attempt to ease the tension between the two which was painfully obvious to both haewon and her. yunjin's eyes lifted from the table, and she softly smiled at the action.
lily wasn't much of a talker to them yet due to the unfamiliarity, it meant a lot to her that she asked. "kim chaewon," yunjin started, a slight smile etching onto her lips as the thought of the black haired girl came into view. yunjin genuinely enjoyed their encounter, despite it being something that was short it still made her feel things she had never felt before.
"i don't see what's so wrong with it," yunjin pouted, "i'm not going to do anything to her."she said, a tinge of sadness emerging out of her mind due to the reactions she had been getting from her friends-mainly yeonjun.
haewon let out a curling laugh, choking back on the handful of fries she had inhaled before laughing. "firstly, i know chaewon. yunjin, she's just going to hurt you for being straight, and secondly-" haewon began, immediately being cut off by yeonjun peeping into the conversation towards the end.
