yunjin felt the wind push her hair back as she rushed out of the homestyle movie theater, she could feel her chest tightening as she heard the sound of the girls call out for her. she couldn't turn back, no she couldn't face them.
"of all the fucking sakura's in the world," she whispered out into the thick air, "it just has to be you." she added, wiping the tears out of her eyes as she came to a stop.
her feet had brought her to the big fountain that had been placed into the front of the church as a welcome in gesture, the white marble stone was sleek and the water was a beautiful bright blue.
she sat on the edge, her fingers tracing the light specks of gold that had been melted into the fountain itself; the sound of the water sent calming sensations down her spine yet she still felt as if she couldn't be at peace.
yunjin closed her eyes, her ears tuning into the atmosphere around her as the thoughts topped onto each other.
what the hell is she doing here
she hadn't meant to intrude on their friendship, she knew she was most likely ruining it by simply being there. quite frankly, she never thought she'd see sakura again in her life. yet here she was, almost as if her relationship with her father wasn't enough-god sent down sakura to add onto the trauma.
her eyes snapped open as she heard the sound of rocks crunching under someone's feet, her tired eyes glancing over to see the familiar girl.
"you shouldn't be out here." yunjin mumbled against the summer air, her breathing had somewhat calmed down yet the tears were still forming in the crease of her eyes.
"sakura left, she didn't want to talk to me or anyone to be exact." chaewon explained, "plus, i care about you." she added, sending flutters down yunjin's spine.
yunjin gave her a soft smile, "yunjin?" chaewon asked as she sat next to the red haired girl.
yunjin hummed in response, "yeah?" she whispered out in defeat. she knew what chaewon was about to ask her.
"what happened between the two of you?"
that question was enough for yunjin to officially break down, the tears she had been trying her best to hold back now coming out-with choked back sobs escaping her cracked lips.
she placed her head in her hands, an attempt to hide her pathetic breakdown from chaewon. she bit down onto her lip to stop the tears, "hey.." chaewon whispered, her hand rubbing soft circles on yunjins back.
