Quiet Farewell (JOONGDOK)ORV☑️

Chapter 1

 Kim Dokja looked back rigidly his breath fast and panicked. Behind him was a large black fog, enveloping everything in its abyss. Kim Dokja's legs were sore and tired and he watched as the cloud approached it, roaring as it inched closer.

 "Kim Dokja wake up!" A girl's voice called from somewhere. 

In an instant he was in his bed the blankets were a mess. He pulled his hand up to his heart waiting it for to slow down. 

He turned to his side. "Yoo Joonghuk already left." he thought numbly as the nightmare started to fade.

 Han Sooyoung burst into his room, wearing a large purple hoodie and a black hoodie. "The kids are about to leave for school get up!" she tore the blankets off of Kim Dokja. 

He got up abruptly quickly putting on a large black shirt and grey sweats. "Sorry sorry I slept in." he said as he washed his face. 

Han Sooyoung rolled her eyes and left the room. Kim Dokja looked at himself in the mirror his eyes were still heavy with sleep. He left the room and quickly walked to the kitchen where two kids were bickering. Lee Gilyoung and Shin Yoosoung the two kids who he and Yoo Joonghyuk took in.

 "Dokja, hyung!" Lee Gilyoung exclaimed and ran into Kim Dokja, looked up eaglry. Shin Yoosoung pushed him aside.

 "Ahjussi are you walking us to school today?" she asked hopefully.

 Kim Dokja laid his hands on their heads. "Yep, its your first day of school!" he assured the pair. Lee Gilyoung ran to the doorway and slipped on his backpack causing Shin Yoosoung to laugh.

 "Pfft I can't believe your actually bringing that backpack to school!" she teased. 

Lee Gilyoung glared at her angrily, he wore a bag that had a giant praying mantis plastered over it. The zippers were shaped like leaves as well. 

"Its cool you just don't get it." he stuck out his tongue. 

Shin Yoosoung had a plain pale pink backpack. She was very organized and unusually mature for her age. Yet when she's around Lee Gilyoung she acts her age. 

Han Sooyoung peeked her head into the kitchen. "Kim Dokja, you should get going you're gonna be late." she walked in grabbing a yogurt from the fridge. 

"Cmon you two!" Kim Dokja ushered the two out. The walk to school wasen't long, probably a 7 minute walk without distractions. Lee Gilyoung stuck to Kim Dokjas side like glue as they walked. As they got closer Lee Gilyoung got quieter but Shin Yoosoung held her head up high proudly. 

Kim Dokja felt a pang of sympathy for Lee Gilyoung. His past wasen't so great which resulted in him being quiet and nervous around people. 

Shin Yoosoung was always mature and acted like an adult but Kim Dokja could tell she was nervous as well. The two have been homeschooled until now. Kim Dokja was probably more nervous than both of them he was protective over his two kids and loved the to death. 

"You guys can always call me if you need to." Kim Dokja said softly.

 They were now approaching the gate. Other students buzzed past them occasionally glancing back. Lee Gilyoung nodded quietly but his eyes glinted. "I'll be fine." he broke away from Kim Dokjas side and smiled at him. 

Shin Yoosoung stood beside Lee Gilyoung. "See you soon!" she waved. 

A wave a bittersweetness washed over Kim Dokja as he watched his kids walk to into the school. Once they completely disappeared he started to walk home.
