Kim Dokja's chest felt heavy as he opened his eyes. He glanced to the side where Yoo Joonghyuk was sleeping beside him, their fingers interlocked. He lightly untangled his hand from Yoo Joonghyuks and stood up. "Ugh" his legs felt weak and he pressed his hand against his head. His body was hot and uncomfortable. He stumbled towards the bathroom and flipped on the light switch, the harsh light made him squint as he steadied himself against the sink.

He looked up at his reflection, his face looked pale and drawn, and dark circles under his eyes betrayed the lack of sleep he had been getting. "I look like shit.."

He splashed some cold water on his face, hoping to help his discomfort, but the heat prevailed. He ran his hand through his disheveled hair as he observed himself in the mirror. It had barely been a week but it was clear that he was sick.

He pulled himself away from the mirror and walked back into the bedroom.

"Kim Dokja?" Yoo Joonghyuks was thick with sleep.

Yoo Joonghyuk walked towards him and cupped Kim Dokjas's cheek. His hand was cold against Kim Dokjas skin, it felt nice. He couldn't bring himself to look into Yoo Joonghyuks eyes. "You feel hot, are you feeling ok?" Yoo Joonghyuk sat him down on his bed and touched his forehead lightly. Kim Dokja pulled away Yoo Joonghyuks's hand and smiled at him.

"I feel fine," he said lightly. Yoo Joonghyuks brow furrowed with concern, his gaze watched carefully over Kim Dokja. "You don't look fine," he said lowly.

"Ouch." Kim Dokja laughed, the laughter scraped against his throat. Yoo Joonghyuk didn't laugh with him.

His breaths became more shallow, and he quickly scrambled for his pills. "Yoo Joonghyuk have you seen my pills?" his voice was shaky as he scoured the room. "No, I haven't do you need me to call a doctor?"

Kim Dokja didn't respond, he ran into the bathroom and slammed the door behind him. He lurched over the sink. His breaths came in ragged gasps and he pushed his hand tightly against his mouth. A violent cough racked his body, and crimson flecks splattered against the white sink painting it red. His head pounded loudly as he doubled over, he could hear Yoo Joonghyuk yelling his name from behind the door. His body felt like it was being slowly torn apart with each painful cough. Each cough convulsed through his body with agonizing spasms.

Yoo Joonghyuks cut through the haze of pain. "Kim Dokja, let me in!" the doorknob rattled. He heard Yoo Joonghyuk rush out of the room.

Tears pricked the corner of his eyes, each cough more painful than the last. The metallic thick taste of blood plagued his mouth. He could feel it running down him. Desperation clawed at his throat. His lungs burned with pain, he wanted to cry but his voice wouldn't emerge.

His vision grew clouded, the coughing stopped but his body felt like it was torn to shreds. He was in pain. He fell back and slid down the bathroom wall. The door opened and the light filtered in. Some unfamiliar faces were picking him up. Behind them, he could make out Yoo Joonghyuks face. Tears ran down his face, he looked scared. He was carried out of the room as they passed Yoo Joonghyuk he wanted to comfort him.

"I'm sorry." He wanted to say but no words came out of his mouth. The darkness closed in around him.

He woke up to the steady sound of beeping. He was in a different room, it smelled like rubber and medicine. He started to push himself up but immediately collapsed back down. His whole body ached, and the pain surged over him. His memory was a mess. "

What happened?"

He turned his head over, he was hooked up to a machine. "

"Where is Yoo Joonghyuk?"

"Kim Dokja are you awake?" an unfamiliar voice called to him, but it was like he was underwater. He opened his eyes to look at the face hovering above him. He couldn't make out their features. The person seemed to be talking to him, but all he could hear was the ringing in his ears. His body felt heavy, even when he tried to move his arms it sent pain radiating through his body.

"Where..." his voice came out hoarse and ragged.

"Please don't talk you are.." the voice dissolved into a muffled murmur.

"Yoo Joonghyuk?" he called out, but his voice wouldn't go higher than a whisper. He felt exhausted, more exhausted than he had ever been. He let himself slip back into sleep.

When he woke up again the room was full of voices. He could hear Yoo Joonghyuk's voice, he seemed to be angry about something. He slightly opened his eyes to search for Yoo Joonghyuk to call out to him. His vision was still clouded and hazy.

"He lost a lot of blood his state isn't good." a doctor was talking to Yoo Joonghyuk his voice was low and grim. "He's awake!" another voice came from somewhere in the room. Yoo Joonghyuk turned towards him, their eyes locked.

Yoo Joonghyuk was a mess, his eyes were red and panicked as he rushed over to Kim Dokja. "Yoo Joonghyuk." Kim Dokja croaked, he wanted to hold him. Kim Dokja reached out to him, his hand was trembling. "I'm here." Yoo Joonghyuk shuddered into Kim Dokja's hand.
