a/n: goodness, I hadn't realized it had been 2 weeks since my last update for this story. Updating two at the same time has taken a lot more work than I had anticipated ^^', the video games haven't been helpful either along with spending a majority of my time with them or commissions. Fingers crossed i'll be able to get a better schedule when updating this one lol.

Much to her displeasure and annoyance, Nagano had been ordered to stay a second week in the infirmary. She had only hoped it'd take perhaps a week at most, then she'd get along with her day. Perhaps take a mission or too. But nope. After her early walk just a few days after resting, Aoi had stormed into her room demanding a reasoning. It had seemed whispers of her little walk to the gardens had gotten out. Leaning forwards, Aoi and Kiyo stood beside her bedside for the daily check in. They had been spending a majority of their time with the boys, they had been worried over Inosuke the most when he had come in, his body had been riddled with poisons. It'd be a miracle if he could pull out of it alive.

"How is your breathing?" Aoi asked as she looked through the information they had been writing down., the end of the second week had been approaching, so the girls had visited her more often to check on her health.

"It doesn't hurt as much, there's a small twinge of pain but it's easier for me to walk." Nagano stretched, her mind had grown restless. She needed to move, to do something. Anything! Sitting in one spot was going to drive her mad!

"Good," Aoi nodded.

"Good enough to leave today?" Nagano attempted to suggest, she had hoped her impatience wasn't too obvious.

"Nope," she looked back up. "You will be allowed to leave in three days, four max. No less." She eyed her.

Nagano puffed her cheeks in annoyance. Oh how she wished she healed as fast as Zenitzu, he had barely rested a few days and was already ready to head on his next mission. Much to his displeasure. Inosuke to her knowledge was still resting, he had driven Aoi nearly mad by the looks of it. Her annoyance had seemed to linger, it had almost been amusing. Tanjiro was another they worried about, even though the other two were either recovered or showing signs of recovery, he stayed asleep showing no signs of waking up just yet. It had made her all the more curious about what had happened during their little fight.

"Ugh," Nagano groaned as she flopped back onto the bed. Just a few more days. Just a few.

"Things like this take time to heal, having a punctured lung is incredibly detrimental to slayers." Aoi explained.

"Will my breathing styles be alright?" She asked, she had just become hashira, while she hadn't anticipated the promotion of sorts she wasn't about to be taken out of it so quickly.

"For now, we don't know. It'd be best to do some exercises and strengthen yourself once you're able to fully stand up. Don't push yourself." She looked at her pointedly, eyebrows raising to remind her of the other day when she had gotten caught out of bed.

Nagano quickly looked away. A couple days back, her restlessness had only just started. She had left her room in an attempt to test her physical state. See how far she could push herself before she felt like her lungs would burst. To her amusement though, she had been able to do exercises and multiple stances before her lungs felt like fire. Much longer than a week ago. Around then is when she also had been caught.

Swiftly returned back to her bed, they fretted over her checking any sort of vitals and pressing into her that she needed to rest. Aoi had told her she was no different than Inosuke, pushing past their limits. But at the very least Nagano had been willing to give in and go back to her bed.
