Her temper had always been her ultimate weakness, the weak link in her chain. Something that had always been a problem since childhood, and continued on to this day.

"You need to learn to control your temper." her teacher scolded, crossing his arms he looked down at the angry child.

Kneeling before him, the child angrily looked down at her legs gripping the fabric of her clothing. Her skin was dirty and covered in bruises. She felt that there was nothing wrong with how she acted. In her opinion she had been in the right.

"Why am I the only one who is getting in trouble?" The little girl scowled at her master. "Why not Sanemi too?"

"I've already spoken with him," her master leaned down, his expression unknown to her due to the red scowling mask he always wore. Though his tone had been enough of an indicator. He was furious with her. "You were the one who started the whole ensemble."

"Whatever," the little girl huffed as she looked away.

"If you are to become a slayer, you need to learn to keep your temper under control." he continued.

"Why?" she turned to look at him. "Wouldn't using my emotions make me stronger?"

"Not truly," he shook his head.

"Why not?" She narrowed her eyebrows, her temper slowly cooling.

"Becoming angry leads to mistakes, mistakes will lead to your death. You must learn to control your emotions so that they do not sway your actions in future battles. Do you understand Nagano?"

"I understand."

Whispers of a long past memory whispered in the back of her mind as everything inside of her screamed to stop, screamed to stop and take control of herself. That she was going to make a mistake. That she was going against everything she had been taught throughout her childhood. With an angry scream, her body wounded and bleeding, she leapt towards the demon that could only grin waiting in the entrance of the hole he had created.

Without effort, the blonde demon twisted out of the way of her lunge leaping out of the way. "Oh my," the demon chuckled. "You humans get angry so easily. Does this mean you're going at me with your all? Or is your desperation just showing?"

She scowled at the insult before stretching out her right foot to twist her body to look at where he landed. Only ten feet in front of her. Like he had the entire fight, always just outside of her reach. "Seventh form, Drop Ripple Thrust". Leaping forwards, she thrusted her forwards reaching towards the demon.

With wide eyes, the blonde haired demon narrowly dodged out of the way of her attack. Laughing, the demon opened his golden war fans, bringing them down on her extended arms. "That was a close one. Now stop fighting, and accept your fight willingly."

With wide eyes, she pulled her arms back towards her chest, her blade colliding with his metal fans screeching angrily causing red sparks to fly all around them. With great difficulty she raised her sword pushing the sword off of the blade and lept to the side away from him.

"Why would I willingly allow you to kill me?" Nagano sneered.

"Who said anything about killing?" The man tilted his head puzzled, "I only said give up. It happens all the time in nature when prey crosses paths with a predator. It'll be easier on yourself. Why continue to fight when you'll only lose? There's is no path that leads to you winning." he laughed.

The more he continued to talk, the more her anger continued to bubble up. The frustration of it all. He was toying with her. Trying to egg her on. She knew that. She knew that he was aware of how much he frustrated her, and it frustrated her of just how easy he was able to do it. No other demon had been able to get under her skin as much as he had, it had to be his personality, there was no other way. How he carried himself. How mannerism.
