    [Time skip to the day before his birthday]
    The next day, Hongjoong woke up bright and early. He crawls over to Hwa and shakes him a little. "C'mon babe, you gotta get up" Hongjoong said, smiling a little. "Mmm...I don't wanna..." Hwa said, sitting up before falling onto Hong's shoulder. "I'm still tired....." Hwa muttered. Hongjoong sighed "We can stay in bed for 15 more minutes" He said, rubbing Hwa's hair. They laid back down for around 15 more minutes. After that, Hong finally got Hwa up and got him ready. They were going on an outing throughout the city today.
Hong took Hwa to look at multiple shops such as jewelry stores, a flower booth, clothing stores, and more. He also took him to try cake and chocolate samples. Throughout this trip through the city, HJ found Hwa some presents for his birthday. Hong would sneakily purchase the things Hwa was fond of because he didn't want Hwa to know what he was planning. At the flower booth, Hwa was very fond over the mugunghwas. Hongjoong, of course, bought the flowers and asked the booth owner to keep them at the shop so he could have them picked up later for a party. While they were trying the cake and chocolate samples, Hwa was very fond of strawberry cake and dark chocolate. While Hwa was trying other flavors, Hong asked one of the sellers to make him a strawberry cake with dark chocolate and to also get him some dark chocolate chocolates ready and he'd send someone to come pick them up later.
    The two stayed out looking until around lunchtime. Hwa was in the middle of looking at some bracelets when Hong heard Hwa's stomach growling. "Hungry, my love?" He asked with a smirk on his face. "Starving" Hwa said, laughing a little. "Come, let's go get something to eat then. What sounds appetizing, dear?" "Hmm, ramen maybe. Yea, that sounds great." He says, hugging up to Hong's arm.
Hong and Hwa had their lunch date together. Hong asked Hwa some questions like what his favorite foods were, this, that, and the other. After lunch they spent the rest of the day shopping some more. Once they finished shopping, they walked along the beach and talked until the sun started to set.
Once it had almost reached nightfall, they headed back to the ship to eat dinner with the rest of the crew. After they ate dinner Hong sent Hwa to their bedroom to get ready for bed. After Hwa left, Hong ordered the rest to stay because of an important announcement he had to make. "Alright crew, Hwa's birthday is coming up and we need to surprise him with a birthday party. The sirens do not celebrate birthdays so I intend on making this special for him" "Alright Captain, we'll get everything set up. What is your vision?" Yunho asks, walking over to Hong. Hong told Yunho the plans and what he thought Hwa might like it to look like.
After that, Hongjoong stopped Jongho and Yeosang and asked them if they could go pick up Hwa's gifts that he purchased. He gave them a list of what stores he had bought from and told them to say it was a pickup for Hwa.
After the pick up was arranged, Hong headed to their room to find that Hwa was tucked in and sound asleep. Hong got ready for bed, climed in, and gently cuddled up to Hwa, gently kissing his face.'I'm going to give you the best present ever, my love. I'll make sure you'll remember it.' He thought to himself as he smiled while looking his beautiful sleeping siren, a little lust filling his eyes.
    The next morning, Hongjoong woke up earlier than Hwa and decided he'd let him sleep in this time. Hong went out on deck to see the party that his crew had organized. It was magnificent, perfect for his Hwa. It had all sorts of sea themed colors with sea shells and pearls scattered across the main table that held the food.  Yunho told him that they were to pick up the food later in the day. Jongho came up to Hong and informed him that Hwa's presents were in his office. Hong smiled, everything was going perfectly. He was very pleased with his crew.
    After talking to the crew about the party they'd planned, he went out to get Hwa breakfast in bed. He stopped at the local bakery and picked out some pastries Hwa had his eyes on. Hong also went and picked up some pink camellias and brought them along with him. Once he got to the ship, he went into his office and realized just how much he'd bought for Hwa. He was a little shocked at just how much he'd spent on his prince. He chuckled a little and sat the pastries and flowers down, setting them up in a beautiful arrangement to bring to Hwa.
    Once he'd finished, he went back into their room, setting down the small table he was carrying and gently shaking Hwa awake. "Good morning, my love. I brought you breakfast." He said with a smile. Hwa sat up and Hong set the table over Hwa's lap. "Thank you Joongie, But what's the occasion?" "Your birthday, my queen. It's a very special day for my very special boy." Hwa giggled a little "Stop Hong, you're over here making me feel all important" "Mm, but you are important, my love. You mean so much to me." Hongjoong said, leaning down and kissing Hwa gently. Hong smiled and licked his own lips "Hurry now, i've made plans, my love" He waited for Hwa to finish eating before helping him get dressed and covering his eyes as they stood in front of the door. "Ready, my love?" "As ready as I'll ever be" He says with a little giggle. Hong opens the door with one hand while covering Hwa's eyes with the other. He gently leads Hwa out onto deck where the party is set up and he ties a blindfold around his eyes. "Alright, hold on dear" Hong says, signaling the crew to get in place and put the presents in the designated area.
Hong came behind Hwa and took the blindfold off, revealing the crew in front of him. Once the blindfold was off, he heard a loud "surprise!" from the whole crew. "What's all this?" Hwa said, laughing a little "This, my love, is called a surprise party. It's to celebrate your birthday" Hong says, gently hugging Hwa from behind. Hong moved Hwa over to a chair and sat him down. They brought the birthday cake over and started singing happy birthday. After that, they told him to make a wish in his head and to not tell anyone then blow the candles out. They spend the whole day celebrating Hwa's 27th birthday. They let Hwa unwrap his presents, after some explaining of why they do that, then they eat and play games. They spend the whole day celebrating Hwa. Hwa absolutely loved the decorations. They made him feel like he was at home. After all the celebrations were over, the crew cleaned up the ship and Hong thanked them. Hwa was already in bed when Hong got in the room. Joong climbed into bed and he noticed something...off. He lifted up the covers and then put them down before he had to double take to make sure he was seeing right. "Uh Hwa- Where yo clothes at.."
