"Your brother...?" Hongjoong said, his tone somewhat nervous. "You seem nervous." Seonghwa said, crossing his arms. "Nervous?" He laugh unsurely. "Why would I be nervous." Hwa sighs and rests his arms around Hongjoong's neck. "I know you're nervous that you haven't met any of my family before. Everything is going to be just fine...I hope." Hwa said with a little awkward laugh. Hong lets out a little chuckle. "I'm fine...and I'm not nervous. I just didn't expect to meet anyone from your family but I'm happy to meet your brother." Hwa smiled softly at him and they shared a kiss.
Eventually they made it to where the castle was located. Seonghwa told the crew that to protect the location of the castle from other pirates, they need to dock at an island nearby. The island was far but still pretty close to the castle. Once they docked, Hongjoong met Hwa on the deck. Hwa was so nervous that he was somewhat biting his nails. Hongjoong took his hands and held them in his to keep him from biting his nails. The others came over to them. "Uhm...So what are we all going to do while you're down there. We all can't survive underwater like you can." San said. "I thought about that. I know that the gems that royals have can give sirens the power to transform into humans...but they can also transform people into sirens for a bit of time. I uh...I haven't figured out how to do it yet." Hwa replied. Jongho quietly thought to himself for a bit before he remembered the book he read that had siren magic in it. He left to go get the book when Anh came in.
Anh made a gesture that he wanted to be picked up by Hwa. Seonghwa picked him up. "For the time being, someone is gonna have to stay behind and take care of Anh until we can find a place for him to go when they attack." Hwa said. "I'll stay behind and watch him." Mingi said, smiling at Anh. "I think that's a good idea." Hongjoong agreed.
Shortly after, Jongho returned with the book. "I came across this book a while ago and I saw a page about siren transformation." he said as he flipped through the pages. Jongho finally found the page and flipped the book around to show them. Hongjoong grabbed the book and brought it to Hwa. They read it together. "The book says that the easiest way for a siren to transform humans into sirens is to stand in a circle, holding hands, with at least one siren included. They would all have to recite the incantation that is written in the book for it to work. After it's finished, the humans won't feel anything immediately. The only way to know if it worked is to jump into the water. The spell only lasts a few weeks." Hongjoong read from the book. "That sounds easy enough." Hwa said.
"We'll take a few minutes to get everything together before we start" Hongjoong said. During these few minutes, Hwa sat Anh down to talk to him and tell him what would be happening. "Listen, Anh. We're all going to be gone in the water for a bit and you'll be left with Mingi. This is going to happen everyday for a little while but we will always be back for dinner, dear." Seonghwa said softly. "What about bed..t..time..." Anh mumbled. "We'll be here for bedtime. Just stay on the ship with Mingi, okay?" Anh nodded. When they were done talking, Hwa got Anh to go to Mingi.
After Anh left, Hongjoong walked up to Hwa and held his hand. Hwa and Hong both looked at Anh with Mingi. "I really don't want Anh in the water right now...especially with the Enaizothage Kingdom planning to attack us soon." Hwa mumbled. "That's completely reasonable, my love. I fully understand why you're against him being in the water right now." Hongjoong agreed, trying to somewhat comfort Hwa.
After a bit, Anh was put down for a nap and they all stood on the deck, getting ready for the transformation. They all stood in a circle. Hwa took a deep breath then started the incantation, the others followed. As they said the incantation, the Siren's Tear started to glow around Hwa's neck.
Once they were finished, they didn't feel any different. They needed a tester. Wooyoung ran and jumped off the side of the ship not waiting for anyone else. The others ran to the side of the ship and watched in horror as Wooyoung fell into the sea.
There was a splash, but they didn't see him anywhere. Seonghwa was fixing to chase after him, but he was stopped by Hongjoong who pointed something out. Their gaze turned to where he was talking about. It looked like some sort of marine life with the colors black and white. "Is that an Orca?" Yunho said. They soon see Wooyoung appear out of the water. "It worked!" He yelled, showing off his black and white siren tail. The others got excited and were ready to jump in. One by one they all jumped into the water. Hongjoong had a somewhat koi fish type pattern that was orange, blue, and white. Yunho's tail looked like beta fish, his colors were blue, a bit of purple, and white. Yeosang's tail was mostly black with a toxic green around every edge. San's tail was mostly purple, with blue and white scattered at the top and bottom. Mingi's pattern on his tail was one of a tiger shark, his tail was mostly yellow with black stripes at the hips, chest, and bottom of the tail. Jongho's tail was brown and white. He also had stripes but only on his hips and chest. They all gushed over their tails. When Seonghwa saw Hongjoong and how he looked as a siren, he couldn't help but blush and Hongjoong noticed and teased him about it.
"Mingi, we need you back on the ship for right now but when we need you at the castle we'll come back and get you. Until then, stay on the boat and do not let Anh in the water." Hwa said after he calmed himself. Mingi nodded and climbed back onto the ship, slowly but surely. "We ready?" Wooyoung asked. Seonghwa nodded nervously and they all followed him to the castle.
