Takumi sat on the bench in the park, staring at the space beside him. He longed for the warmth of someone by his side, but he knew it was impossible. He was in love with his best friend, Gii, but they were both guys.

Takumi couldn't bring himself to admit his feelings, not wanting to risk their friendship.
"Hey, Takumi. What's going on?" Gii's voice interrupted his thoughts, and he looked up to see Gii's concerned expression.

"Nothing, just thinking," Takumi replied, trying to sound nonchalant.

Gii sat down beside him, his eyes never leaving Takumi's face. "You know you can talk to me about anything, right?"

Takumi's heart ached at those words. He wanted to tell Gii everything, but he couldn't. It wasn't as easy as Gii made it seem.

"I know," Takumi said, his voice barely a whisper.

"You seem down," Gii pointed out, placing a hand on Takumi's shoulder.
Takumi couldn't take it anymore. He turned to face Gii, his voice trembling as he finally spoke the words he had been holding back for so long.

"I'm in love with you, Gii," he confessed, tears welling up in his eyes.

Gii's hand dropped from Takumi's shoulder as he sat there, stunned. For a moment, neither of them said anything, the only sound was the beating of their hearts.
Finally, Gii spoke, his voice filled with sadness. "Takumi, you know I care about you, but I don't think I can love you the way you want me to."

Takumi's heart shattered into a million pieces. He had known that this was a possibility, but hearing it from Gii's mouth still hurt like hell.

"But why?" Takumi choked out, trying to hold back his tears.

Gii looked away, his eyes glistening with unshed tears. "Because I'm in love with someone else."

Takumi's heart sank even further. He felt like he was drowning in a sea of emotions. "Who?" he asked, his voice barely audible.
Gii took a deep breath before answering. "It's someone you know. It's someone who will always be there for me, someone who understands me like no one else."

Takumi couldn't bear to hear any more. He stood up abruptly, his tears now flowing freely. "I understand, Gii. I'll always be here for you, but I can't be just your friend anymore. It's too painful."

With that, he turned and walked away, leaving Gii alone on the bench. Takumi couldn't stop the tears from falling, his heart aching with the pain of rejection and unrequited love.

Months went by, and Takumi tried his best to move on, but his heart still belonged to Gii. Every time he saw Gii, his heart would skip a beat, but Gii never seemed to notice anymore.

One day, Takumi received a call from a mutual friend, informing him that Gii had been in a car accident. Without a second thought, Takumi rushed to the hospital, fear and worry consuming him.

He found Gii lying in a hospital bed, his face bruised and bandaged. Takumi's heart ached at the sight, and he couldn't hold back his tears.

Gii opened his eyes and saw Takumi and a small smile appeared on his lips. "Takumi," he whispered, reaching out for his hand.
Takumi took his hand, the feelings of love and longing rushing back to him. "I'm here, Gii. I'll always be here for you."

Gii looked at him with so much love in his eyes, and for a moment, Takumi thought that maybe Gii loved him too. But then Gii spoke, shattering his hopes.

"I'm sorry, Takumi. I love you, but not in the same way that you love me. You'll always be my best friend, and I'll always care for you, but I can't be in a romantic relationship with you."

Takumi's heart broke once again, but he forced a smile on his face. "I understand. I just want you to be happy, Gii."
Gii squeezed his hand, a silent thank you for passing between them.

At that moment, Takumi knew that his love for Gii would never die, but he also knew that it was time for him to let go and move on. He would always cherish the memories they shared, and he would always be there for Gii, even if it meant just being friends.

Gii squeezed his hand and looked into Takumi's eyes. "I'm sorry, Takumi. I should have realised sooner how much you mean to me."

Takumi's heart skipped a beat at Gii's words, hope stirring in his chest. "What do you mean, Gii?"

Gii took a deep breath before speaking. "I love you, Takumi. I've loved you all along, but I was too scared to admit it."

Takumi couldn't believe what he was hearing. Could it be true? Was Gii really in love with him?

Gii continued, his voice filled with sincerity. "I want to be with you, Takumi. I want to love you the way you deserve to be loved."

Takumi felt tears of joy streaming down his face as he leaned in to kiss Gii, the realisation of their love finally sinking in.

From that day on, Takumi and Gii's relationship blossomed into something beautiful and true. They overcame their fears and insecurities, choosing to be together and love each other with all their hearts.

And as they sat on the bench in the park, hand in hand, Takumi knew that no matter what challenges they faced, their love would always be their guiding light. And he was grateful for the twists and turns that led them to this moment of pure, unconditional love.

Gii had said he loved someone he knew but that person was Takumi, Gii just couldn't say the words he wanted to. "I'm sorry for not being honest with you from the very start when you told me you love me, i'm sorry i hurt you the way i did, but now that you know, i'm yours, i will always be yours."

Takumi walked over to his love and kissed him head-on, no warning whatsoever. Love changed them into a couple that made them stronger than ever before.

Takumi got his love reciprocated and Gii admitted he is in love with his best friend.

Love was good for these two.
