"Tharn," Type called out, his voice filled with desperation. "Why do we have to be on opposing sides?"
Tharn's expression was grim as he replied, "It's our destiny, Type. One of us must destroy the other."
"But we love each other," Type pleaded, his tone filled with sadness.
Tharn's eyes softened for a moment before hardening again. "Love cannot change fate, Type. We were born into this war and there's no escaping it."
Tears welled up in Type's eyes as he grasped Tharn's hand. "I can't bear the thought of hurting you."
"Nor I, you," Tharn replied, his voice full of sorrow. "But we both have a duty to our people."
As leaders of opposing kingdoms, Tharn and Type were forced to fight against each other in a never-ending war. But little did they know, their love for each other was also their greatest weakness.
The battle raged on, with Tharn and Type's armies clashing violently on the battlefield. Tharn's heart ached with every blow he landed on Type, and he could see the pain in Type's eyes as well.
"Please, Tharn," Type gasped as they engaged in hand-to-hand combat. "Let's end this madness and run away together."
Tharn's grip on his sword faltered for a moment as he looked into Type's pleading eyes. But then he remembered the lives lost on both sides of this war, the families torn apart, and he knew he couldn't abandon his people.
"I'm sorry, Type," Tharn said, his tone filled with regret. "I cannot forsake my kingdom."
With a heavy heart, Tharn struck the final blow, bringing an end to the battle and sealing Type's fate. As Type fell to the ground, Tharn rushed to his side, tears streaming down his face.
"I never wanted this," Tharn whispered, cradling Type's lifeless body in his arms.
"It's okay," Type replied weakly, his voice barely a whisper. "We were destined to destroy each other from the start."
The war may have ended, but the love between Tharn and Type would forever remain, a tragic story of two lovers caught in the middle of a centuries-old feud. And as Tharn mourned the loss of his beloved, he knew that he would carry their love with him until the end of time.
As the sun set on the battlefield, Tharn stood, holding Type's lifeless body in his arms. He felt a sense of emptiness and despair like he had never felt before. The weight of their love and the burden of their fate weighed heavy on his heart.
With tears streaming down his face, Tharn whispered, "I will always love you, Type. Even in death, our love will endure."
And with that, he laid Type to rest, vowing to honor their love for eternity. And as he walked away from the battlefield, he carried with him the memory of their love, a love that transcended war and fate.
In the end, Tharn knew that their love was both a blessing and a curse, a beautiful tragedy that would forever be etched in his heart. And as he looked up at the darkening sky, he whispered one final promise to his beloved:
"No matter how far apart we may be, our love will always bind us together."
