-THIRD PERSON-

The snow yielded to the approach of February, transforming into a soggy, dreary wetness that enveloped the school. Over the castle, purplish-grey clouds hung low, and a ceaseless drizzle painted the lawns with a chilly, persistent rain, turning them slippery and muddy. Consequently, the much-anticipated first Apparition lesson for the sixth-years, initially planned in the grounds on a Saturday morning to avoid disrupting regular classes, was relocated to the Great Hall.

Upon entering the Hall with Harry and Sabrina (Ron opting to accompany Lavender), they discovered that the tables had vanished. Rain lashed against the towering windows, and the enchanted ceiling above them swirled darkly, creating an ominous atmosphere. The students gathered in front of Professors McGonagall, Snape, Flitwick, and Sprout – the Heads of House – alongside a slight wizard whom Harry assumed to be the Apparition Instructor from the Ministry.

This wizard appeared peculiarly colourless, boasting transparent eyelashes, wispy hair, and an insubstantial air, as though a mere gust of wind could whisk him away. Harry pondered whether the constant cycles of disappearance and reappearance had somehow diminished his substance or if this frail appearance was advantageous for those inclined to vanish.

"Good morning," the Ministry wizard announced when all the students had assembled, and the Heads of House called for quiet. "My name is Wilkie Twycross, and I shall be your Ministry Apparition Instructor for the next twelve weeks. I hope to prepare you adequately for your Apparition test during this time –"

"Malfoy, be quiet and pay attention!" Professor McGonagall interjected sharply.

All eyes turned towards Malfoy, creating a momentary interruption in the proceedings. Malfoy's face had acquired a dull pink hue, his frustration evident as he distanced himself from Crabbe, with whom he seemed to have been engaged in a whispered argument.
