Y/N awoke with a start, disoriented and surrounded by darkness. As her senses slowly adjusted, she realised she was lying on a hard surface, which trembled and shook as it hurtled upwards. Panic set in as she tried to piece together where she was and how she got there. The last thing she could recall was a blur of images and sensations, like a distant dream slipping through her fingers.

Blinking against the dim light, Y/N took in her surroundings. The confined space she was in seemed to be a box, and she was surrounded by an assortment of gear and a few unfamiliar animals huddled in the corner. The air was thick with tension, and a chill ran down her spine as she tried to make sense of the situation.

Attempting to move, Y/N winced in pain. A sharp, throbbing ache emanated from her wrist, ribs, and ankle. She gingerly touched her wrist, suspecting it might be broken, and winced as pain shot through her. The realisation hit her that she was in bad shape, possibly injured during whatever had brought her here.

As she grappled with her pain, the box jolted to a sudden stop. The abrupt halt sent Y/N sprawling, aggravating her injuries. The box creaked as its doors slowly opened, revealing blinding sunlight beyond. Y/N shielded her eyes, squinting to make out the figures standing over the now-open box.

A group of boys, their expressions a mix of curiosity and scepticism, stared down at her. Their faces were a blur to her clouded mind, but their presence only heightened her sense of vulnerability. Questions raced through her mind, but her throat felt dry and parched, rendering her unable to voice them. She attempted to push herself up, but the pain in her wrist and ribs flared, forcing her back down with a stifled cry.

Y/N watched the boys cautiously, unsure of what to expect in this strange place.

One of the boys, with tousled blonde hair and an unmistakable English accent, turned to address the group. "It's a girl," he announced, his voice filled with curiosity and apprehension. The boy seemed familiar to her, but when she tried to recall where she had met him before, her mind became blank.

As the boys stared down at her and whispered to one another, Y/N's heart raced as she realised she was the subject of their conversation. She felt a mixture of fear and curiosity, wondering why she had been brought to this unfamiliar place.

Before she could gather her thoughts, another boy with short blonde hair and arched eyebrows leapt down into the box with surprising agility. "Hello there," he greeted her with a piercing look. "Welcome to the Glade, greenie."

Y/N blinked in confusion at the unfamiliar term. The boy extended a hand to help her out of the box, and she gratefully accepted, allowing him to pull her to her feet.

As soon as Y/N was out of the box, she winced as pain shot through her leg. She had forgotten about the injury in the chaos of the moment, but now it made itself known with every step she took. Y/N must have twisted it prior to being put in the box. Ignoring the discomfort as best she could, she limped forward to take in her surroundings.

The glade was like nothing she had ever seen before. It was surrounded by four towering walls that seemed to stretch endlessly into the sky, cutting off any view of the outside world. In the centre of the glade, there was a small collection of wooden huts, arranged haphazardly as if thrown together in a hurry. Beyond the huts, a dense forest stretched out, its trees whispering secrets in the gentle breeze.

Y/N realised that she was trapped in this place, with these boys. The towering walls surrounding the grassy enclosure seemed insurmountable, but desperation fueled Y/N's determination. She had to escape.

A fleeting moment of opportunity presented itself when Y/N noticed a large gate in the walls. Without a second thought, she sprinted towards it, her heart pounding in her chest. The distant murmur of the other boys faded as adrenaline surged through her veins.

However, her escape didn't go unnoticed. A voice rang out behind her, cutting through the air like a warning siren. "We've got a runner!" It was one of the boys, his shout echoing through the glade and stirring the others into action.

Y/N's ankle throbbed with pain, a souvenir she couldn't recall collecting. Her ribs ached from a recent encounter, but the urgency of the situation drowned out the discomfort. She pushed herself harder, legs pumping, as she approached the opening in the walls.

The peculiar boy with the weird eyebrows and an Asian boy were the first to react. The weird-eyebrowed boy sprinted after her, his determined eyes locked onto her retreating figure. The Asian boy, however, moved with an effortless grace that hinted at his athleticism. He surged forward, slowly closing the gap between them.

Y/N's heart sank as she realised the Asian boy was much faster than the other. With each stride, he closed the distance between them, his determination evident in every movement. Panic threatened to consume her as she pushed her body to its limits, her mind racing with fear and uncertainty.

Y/N's breaths came in ragged gasps as she darted through the gate. The cool air outside the glade brushed against her face, invigorating her momentarily.

Y/N's heartbeat pounded in her ears as she found herself in a dimly lit passage beyond the gate. The walls seemed to close in on her as she ran, the echoes of her footsteps bouncing off the stone surfaces. The passage forked off, and without a moment's hesitation, she veered left.

Despite her determination, Y/N's body protested the exertion. The pain in her ankle and ribs became sharper with each step, but she refused to yield. The world around her blurred as she focused solely on the path ahead, her escape hinging on reaching the safety beyond those towering walls.

As she continued down the path, it branched off again and again, Y/N realised that she was in a maze. She pushed herself to keep moving, her mind racing as she tried to outmaneuver her pursuers.

Y/N took a few more turns, hoping to shake off her pursuers, and finally came to a halt, pressing her back against the cold stone. She gasped for breath, her chest heaving as she fought to regain her composure.

But as the adrenaline began to fade, a wave of panic washed over her. Her heart continued to race erratically, her breaths coming in short, shallow gasps. Her hands trembled uncontrollably as tears welled up in her eyes.

Y/N sank to the ground, her body shaking with sobs as she struggled to control her breathing.

In the solitude of the maze, Y/N wrestled with her emotions. The walls seemed to close in further, and the dim light played tricks on her senses. She felt trapped, lost, and the realisation of her vulnerability unleashed a torrent of tears. Sitting against the cold stone, she let the panic wash over her, hoping that with each passing moment, the storm within would subside.
