The sun streamed into Y/N's hut, casting a warm glow on her face as she woke up the morning after the emotional revelation of finding her twin brother, Newt. A radiant happiness enveloped her, and she couldn't help but feel a newfound sense of completeness. The weight of loneliness that had lingered in the back of her mind since entering the glade now seemed to lift.

Eager to share her joy, Y/N practically skipped to the dining hall, where she found Newt and Minho chatting over breakfast. With a beaming smile, she joined them, the anticipation of her story evident in her eyes. As she revealed the truth about her connection with Newt, Minho's eyes widened in surprise.

"You're twins? That's crazy!" Minho exclaimed, genuinely shocked.

Y/N and Newt couldn't help but laugh at Minho's reaction, and they spent the rest of breakfast reliving old stories from their childhood. The tales of their antics, misadventures, and shared memories painted a vivid picture of their bond, leaving Minho thoroughly entertained.

Across the dining hall, Gally shot disapproving glares their way, misinterpreting their joyous camaraderie as a romantic connection. The idea of Y/N and Newt dating irked him, fueling his disdain further.

Once breakfast concluded, Y/N and Newt headed off to their respective jobs, their hearts lightened by the newfound knowledge of their shared past. They joined the other gladers in preparing for the arrival of the box and the impending introduction of the new greenie.

Y/N joined the group of builders as they gathered around Gally, awaiting their instructions for the day.

Gally's demeanor was notably grumpier than usual, his brow furrowed with irritation as he addressed the assembled builders. Y/N couldn't help but notice the sharp edge to his voice, directed seemingly more acutely at her.

As the other builders dispersed to begin their tasks, Y/N lingered behind, determined to confront Gally about his increasingly hostile behaviour towards her. She approached him cautiously, wary of his temper.

"Hey, Gally," Y/N began tentatively, "What is your problem with me today?"

Gally, caught off guard by her directness, grumbled in response, his mind still swirling with the events of the previous night. He couldn't shake the image of Y/N and Newt together, laughing and sharing a moment by the campfire. Jealousy gnawed at him, but he couldn't bring himself to admit it.

Gally's scowl deepened as he regarded her, seemingly torn between irritation and reluctance to share what was bothering him. After a moment of tense silence, he grumbled in response, "Just stay out of my way, shank. Got enough to deal with without adding you to the mix."

Y/N's brow furrowed with frustration, but she pressed on, "Look, Gally, we're stuck here together. It's not making anyone's life easier if we're at each other's throats all the time. So, what's the real issue?"

Gally sighed, his annoyance evident, but a hint of vulnerability flickered in his eyes. "It's nothing, alright? Just go do your job and leave me alone." he hissed at her.

Despite his dismissive words, Y/N sensed there was more beneath the surface. Realising that further probing might not yield answers, she reluctantly nodded and rejoined the builders, a lingering sense of confusion and concern following her as she went about her tasks.

Hours passed, filled with the rhythmic sounds of hammers striking wood and voices mingling in conversation, until the sudden blare of a horn shattered the tranquility of the glade. In an instant, the air was charged with anticipation as gladers abandoned their tasks and rushed toward the box, their hearts pounding with excitement and curiosity for the arrival of the new Greenie.
