**TW: Mentions Suicide**
In a sterile lab illuminated by the soft glow of computer screens, a woman with blonde hair stood with an air of authority, her eyes fixed on a particular monitor displaying footage from the maze. The screen showed Y/N's desperate leap from the ivy-covered wall, followed by Gally's frantic rush to her side.
As the scene played out before her, the woman's expression remained impassive, her mind calculating the implications of what she was witnessing. Beside her stood a younger girl with long brown hair tied back in a neat ponytail, her eyes mirroring the intensity of the blonde woman's gaze.
"Miss Paige," the girl addressed the scientist, her voice soft but filled with purpose.
Miss Paige turned to the girl, a hint of recognition flashing in her eyes as she acknowledged her. "Teresa," she replied, her tone clipped yet tinged with a sense of authority.
Teresa leaned in closer, her brow furrowed in concern as she followed the events unfolding on the screen. "What happened?" she asked, her voice tinged with curiosity.
Miss Paige turned to Teresa, her expression unreadable as she addressed her with a steely gaze. "It appears that our test subject, XXX01, has taken matters into her own hands," she remarked, her tone laced with a hint of intrigue.
Teresa took a moment to collect her thoughts before speaking, her words measured and precise. "XXX01's actions today indicate a significant deviation from previous behaviour patterns," she explained, her brow furrowing slightly with concern. "It's clear that her emotional state is becoming increasingly unstable."
Miss Paige nodded thoughtfully, her mind already racing with possibilities. "Indeed," she murmured, her gaze returning to the screen displaying Y/N's movements within the maze. "We must proceed with caution."
Teresa nodded in agreement, her expression mirroring Miss Paige's solemn demeanour.
Turning her gaze back to the screen, Miss Paige watched as Gally carried Y/N out of the maze and toward the Medhut. A flicker of intrigue danced in her eyes as she contemplated the possibilities that lay ahead.
A faint smile tugged at the corners of Miss Paige's lips as she observed the scene unfolding before her. "Interesting indeed," she murmured, her voice barely above a whisper.
Teresa nodded in agreement, her expression reflecting a mixture of anticipation and intrigue. "The gladers should hopefully administer the next dose within the next few days," she remarked, her tone tinged with a note of optimism.
Miss Paige nodded in response, her mind already racing with possibilities. "Continue to monitor the situation closely, Teresa," she instructed, her voice tinged with authority. "We must ensure that our experiment proceeds according to plan."
With a final glance at the monitors, Miss Paige returned her focus to the task at hand, her mind already formulating the next steps in their ambitious endeavour. As the images flickered across the screens, a sense of determination burned bright in her eyes, driving her ever onward in pursuit of WCKD's elusive goals.
.....
As Y/N lay in a deep and unbroken slumber, the glade continued its rhythm, the sounds of daily life echoing around her like distant whispers. Gally, however, remained steadfast by her side, a silent guardian in the quiet sanctuary of the Medhut.
For three days, Gally refused to leave Y/N, his eyes never straying far from her fragile form. His sense of responsibility weighed heavily on him, a fierce determination etched into the lines of his sombre expression.
Determined to protect her at all costs, Gally had hardly left her side, his presence a silent vigil against any further harm that might befall her. Only briefly did he leave her bedside, his steps heavy with apprehension as he sought out Newt to inform him of the dire situation.
