As the sun rose on another day in the glade, Y/N woke with a sense of purpose. Today was a day like any other, yet somehow it felt different, imbued with the anticipation of new experiences and challenges. Beside her, Eleanor slumbered peacefully, her small form curled up beneath the blanket.

"Good morning, sleepyhead," Y/N whispered, gently rousing the child from her slumber.

Eleanor stirred, blinking sleepily as she rubbed her eyes. "Morning, Y/N," she mumbled, a small smile gracing her lips.

With practised ease, Y/N helped Eleanor dress before leading her towards the trackhoes.

"Are you excited to spend the day with Newt?" Y/N asked, her voice soft with anticipation as they approached their destination.

Eleanor's eyes sparkled with enthusiasm as she nodded vigorously, a radiant smile gracing her features. "Yes, I can't wait to help him with the garden fairies!"

Y/N chuckled, her heart warmed by Eleanor's boundless enthusiasm. "I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time," she reassured, bending down to ruffle Eleanor's hair affectionately.

With a final wave goodbye, Y/N watched as Eleanor skipped towards Newt, her laughter carrying on the gentle breeze.

Y/N let out a contented sigh, a smile tugging at her lips, before turning towards the bustling activity of the builders' domain. Gally stood amidst the throng of workers, his strong frame a reassuring presence amidst the flurry of activity.

"Ready to get to work, Y/N?" Gally called out, a grin playing at the corners of his lips as he approached her.

"Absolutely," Y/N replied with a nod, her determination mirrored in the set of her jaw as she fell into step beside him.

Together, they joined the ranks of the builders, their movements synchronised as they set about their tasks with practised efficiency. Y/N wielded her tools with skill and precision, her focus unwavering as she worked alongside her fellow gladers.

Throughout the day, Y/N immersed herself in the rhythm of work, her muscles straining against the weight of logs as she helped fell trees and transport them to be fashioned into building materials. Sweat glistened on her brow as she toiled alongside her comrades, their shared determination fueling their endeavours.

As the sun reached its zenith, casting a warm glow over the glade, Y/N found herself on the outskirts of the deadheads, her focus trained on the task at hand. With a determined set to her shoulders, she raised her axe, ready to continue her work.

But before she could take another step, a sudden movement caught her off guard, a blur of motion hurtling towards her with startling speed. Before she could react, she felt a sharp blow to her side, the force knocking her off balance and sending her crashing to the ground.

Gasping for breath, Y/N scrambled to her feet, her heart racing as she faced her attacker, her eyes narrowing in recognition.

"Kyle," she breathed, her voice laced with disbelief and fury as she confronted the source of her assailant.

Kyle sneered, his features contorted with malice as he advanced towards her, his movements predatory and menacing. "Thought you could just waltz back in here like nothing happened, did you?" he spat, his voice dripping with venom.

"Kyle, what—" Y/N barely managed to gasp before Kyle's hands closed around her throat, his fingers digging into her flesh with terrifying intensity.

Y/N gasped for air, her heart pounding against her chest as she struggled against Kyle's overpowering strength. "Get off me!"
