Y/N sat against the cool stone wall of the maze, her trembling hands covering her face as she struggled to regain control of her breathing. The panic attack had taken hold of her, and she desperately sought something to anchor her thoughts.

Closing her eyes, she tried to conjure a calming image. A serene waterfall, she thought, picturing the cascading water in her mind. The sound, the feel of the mist against her skin – anything to distract from the overwhelming sense of fear and confusion.

Unbeknownst to Y/N, the rhythmic echo of approaching footsteps reverberated through the maze. With a furrowed brow and a stern expression, the boy with the weird eyebrows rounded the corner and came upon the distressed girl.

"There you are, greenie!" the boy exclaimed, his tone laced with frustration. The anger in his voice was evident, a mix of irritation and impatience at the chaos the new arrival had caused.

Startled, Y/N's head snapped up, her eyes meeting the boy's gaze. She took in the tall, imposing figure standing before her, his features contorted in frustration. The glint of annoyance in his eyes hinted at the challenges that lay ahead.

The boy studied Y/N for a moment, her vulnerability evident in the way she clutched at her own hands, still shaken from the panic attack. The initial anger softened slightly as he observed her distress, though his impatience remained.

"What's your deal, greenie? Can't handle the maze?" the boy questioned, his voice carrying a mixture of irritation and curiosity. He crossed his arms, waiting for an explanation.

Her vision wavered, and dizziness threatened to overtake her senses. The boy, stepping closer with an air of authority, prepared to chastise her for her reckless sprint into the maze. Y/N could feel her body betraying her, the strain of the chase taking its toll. The world around her seemed to blur, and ominous spots danced in her field of vision.

Summoning all the strength she had left, Y/N dropped her head into her trembling hands, desperately trying to steady herself. She closed her eyes, attempting to block out the disorienting surroundings and find solace in a mental image. In her mind's eye, she conjured the soothing image of a waterfall, the sound of rushing water, and the cool mist against her face.

The boy, noticing the sudden change in Y/N's demeanour, grew more alarmed. The stern expression on his face softened as he knelt beside her. His voice, now laced with genuine concern, cut through the haze of Y/N's panic.

"Hey, are you okay?" the boy's tone had shifted from authoritative to compassionate. Without hesitation, he placed a comforting hand on her back and started rubbing it gently.

Y/N, still struggling to regain control, managed a shaky nod. "Just... give me a moment," she murmured, her voice quivering. The mental image of the waterfall began to work its magic, helping to calm the storm of emotions within her.

Y/N's panicked breaths began to slow, her trembling gradually subsiding under the boy's reassuring touch. Feeling the tension leave her body, Y/N turned to him with a grateful look in her eyes. "Thank you," she whispered quietly, her voice trembling with emotion.

With a nod of understanding, the boy stood up, reaching out to help Y/N to her feet. But as he pulled her up, she let out a sharp gasp of pain, her broken wrist protesting against the sudden movement.

Concern flickered across the boy's features as he released her wrist, realising his mistake. "Are you alright?" he asked, his voice laced with worry.

Y/N hesitated for a moment, the lie hanging heavy on her tongue. "I'm fine," she murmured, her voice strained with pain as she pushed herself to stand upright. But as she rose, a wave of soreness washed over her, reminding her of the injuries she had sustained. Her ankle throbbed with each step, and every breath sent sharp jolts of pain through her ribs. Clutching her broken wrist to her chest and bracing her ribs with her free hand, she tried to ease some of the discomfort.

Determined to push through the pain, Y/N limped after the boy as he led her back to the fork in the maze. There, they found the other Asian boy waiting for them, his expression tense with anticipation.

The boy's eyes widened in excitement as he caught sight of them. "You found her, Gally!" he exclaimed, relief evident in his voice as he gestured for them to follow.

Y/N turned to the boy who had discovered her, his name now known to her as Gally. There was a sense of relief in her eyes as she met his gaze, silently expressing her gratitude. Gally nodded to the other boy and then turned to Y/N, his expression serious yet compassionate.

"Let's get you out of here," Gally said gently, his expression becoming serious as he turned back to the other boy.

"Minho, show us the way out," Gally instructed, his voice firm with authority. Without hesitation, Minho stepped forward, taking the lead as they retraced their steps through the maze.

Minho guided them through the labyrinthine corridors, his familiarity with the maze evident in the confident way he navigated the twists and turns. Gally and Y/N followed closely behind, the latter struggling to keep up due to her injuries.

Feeling her strength waning, Y/N fell behind the group, her movements becoming slower and more laboured with each step. Sensing her struggle, Gally turned around, his expression softening as he approached her.

"Lean on me," Gally said, extending his arm for Y/N to hold onto. Grateful for the assistance, she gratefully accepted, feeling relief as some of the weight was taken off her injured ankle and ribs. Gally supported her, allowing her to keep moving despite the pain.

"Thanks, Gally," Y/N said, appreciating the help as they continued to follow Minho. This time, she used his name, and Gally gave her a small nod in acknowledgment.

Finally, they emerged from the maze's confines, greeted by the warmth of the sun and the open expanse of the glade. Gally turned to Y/N, his expression concerned as he spoke.

"We need to get you checked out by the Medjacks," he said firmly, his gaze unwavering as he took charge of the situation. With Minho's help, they led Y/N towards the Medjacks' hut, determined to ensure she received the care she needed.
