A Week Later

After not speaking to each other for a week, Ayariah runs through Semaj's mind like crazy. Ayariah on the other hand, was so busy with her niece and graduation the past week, she hadn't really thought about him.

She does feel as if he should apologize for coming at her about a child she didn't have. So she is okay with never speaking to him again.

Ayariah Chanel Jackson-Anthony

Opening my car door, a slight breeze hit me. It had been a little windy for the past two days.

"You ready?" Kayonna asked.

"Yea, I been wanting to finish this," I said walking towards the building.

Kayonna and I are at a tattoo shop that just opened a few days ago to finish our sleeves. The nigga that started our sleeve got arrested, so we never got to finish it.

Walking into the building, my eyes instantly locked with Semaj. He motions me to come over towards him as his eyes search my expression.

Remembering that he told me he was getting ready to open a shop, I knew this was his shop. This is the last place I want to be right now. I lowkey don't want to be around him, but I also don't want to wait any longer on my sleeve. I just want to get it over with.

"You know him?" Kayonna whispered to me.

Nodding my head, I made my way towards him.

"Wassup"

"Been busy" I shrugged.

"I texted you the other day" he leaned over the massage bed, sitting between us.

"Didn't see it" I lied.

I definitely saw his text. He said he wanted to talk, but I had other priorities. So yea, I ignored it.

"My fault bout the other night"

"You good, anything else?" I crossed my arms.

"I know you want that sleeve finish"

His gaze distracting me from our somewhat awkward conversation. I shrugged and bit down on my lip. His eyes shift a little towards my lips, before looking in my eyes.

"Um, I already got somebody that's gonna do it," I said pointing to the girl on the other side of the room.

"Ahhhh, fuck nigga did that shit" a male voice yelled.

I slightly turned my body to see who it was. Uzziah and a couple of other niggas walked through the door.

"Why you always yelling," Maj asked.

"Cause I'm on the shit nigga"

"You always on that shit" Maj walked around me.

He started dapping up each one of them. After he dapped up my cousin, Uzziah came and hugged me.

"What you doing here?" He asked pulling away from our hug.

"Ima finish my sleeve" I crossed my arms once more.

Feeling eyes on me, I looked over at Maj and his friends. Maj looked at me with a confused expression on his face.

"Maj he boutta take yo shorty," the boy eating a bag of chips said.

"Nigga shut up, this my cousin," Jo said.

"I'm not his girl" I mumbled at the same time Jo spoke.

"Shit, the way he ta-"
