Four Days Later

I'm at the salon finishing a client's hair. I've been doing her hair for about 6 hours. Semaj has been at his shop since early this morning. But when he was supposed to bring me something to eat, he said he had to handle something. It's almost 5 pm right now and I still haven't seen him yet. I know he was supposed to meet with Tory today cause she finally asked to see Nezhai. It may have to do with the restraining order I had against her, but that has nothing to do with Nezhai. Also, Nezhai has been at the salon with me all day so I don't know when that visitation is supposed to be happening.
"Yeah you ate, real bad"
I ran my hand through my client's locks and smiled. I barely do anything other than a sew-in and laces. Any chance I get to do braids and locks and shit, I'm gone do it.
"Definitely coming back for a touch up" She handed me cash.
I counted it and it was $50 extra. I put $50 in front of her, while I glanced at Maj walking inside with flowers and food in his hand.
"It was $250 bae," I told her.
"Girl that's your tip," She said standing up.
"Okay then, make sure your nigga takes you out" I put my hands on my hips.
"He ain't got a choice" She looked back at me. "Meanwhile, yours doing little cute shit. Love it"
I laughed, "Bye girl"
"Bye," She dragged out and left.
I licked my lips while staring into Maj's eyes. I love how we make eye contact every time we look at each other. Sometimes, it's hard to look anywhere else.
"Wassup beautiful" Maj kissed my cheek.
"Hey, how was your day?"
"Lotta money being made" He kissed my forehead, then my nose and lips.
"Good, but I thought you were taking Zhai to see his birth giver" I grabbed the flowers, he pushed into my arms.
"I am. She in the barbershop. You finna do somebody else hair?" He pulled a hair off my face.
"Not for another hour, why?"
"Do my hair. ZHAI" He shouted.
Zhai is in the back with Eryss, while she's doing somebody's nails. She was serious when she said she wanted to keep him. They've been like besties since the zoo. Before that, Zhai was always up under just me.
"He's with Eryss, I don't think he got his hearing aids in" I took the bag of food from his hand.
He walked towards the back. I set the flowers and bag down. I took a look at the plates. He got oxtails and jerk chicken. I hope he knows I'm eating both cause mommy is hungry. My client made sure I ate something, but that still ain't gone change the fact that I'm finally about to eat what I wanted in the first place.
After closing the plates and putting them in the bag, I started pulling out what I needed to do Maj's hair and cleaning up the hair on the floor. Feeling Maj grip my ass, I glanced over my shoulder.
