Dr Sweetheart and Dr Gorgeous

I woke up to my alarm ringing at 7am. I slipped on my slippers and grabbed my robe before heading to the kitchen. I made myself a cup of coffee and made some eggs with a slice of toast and also made myself an egg salad.

I opened the doors to my balcony and sat out there for a bit while I enjoyed my breakfast and morning coffee.

At 8am I went into my closet and got changed, quickly did my makeup. I grabbed the egg salad I had made earlier and put it into my bag with my flask and water bottle. I grabbed my phone and charger before I headed out of the apartment. I got the lift down to the lobby and saw Arizona parked outside.

"You look good this morning" Arizona said. "Thank you, you do too." I replied. I got in to the passenger side and tried to hide my blush. I definitely shouldn't be having feelings for my boss but she's just gorgeous.

"I see you blushing. Did I make you blush?" Arizona says in a pokey voice. "No, I'm just hot." I reply. Arizona giggled, "The air con is blasting!" I look down as I realise she really has noticed. "Oh." I blush even more.

"Arizona, why'd you stop, we've got a surgery in 15 minutes, we ne-" I look out the front window and see a massive pile up. "Y/n, call Amelia and let her know that the pit is gonna be in overflow." She says as she jumps out the car to help. I follow and try and make sure the non-emergent injuries are okay and dealt with. "Hi, I'm Dr Wolfe, and this is Dr Robbins we're just going to check you're okay." I start talking to a couple who are sat on the pavement with some nasty gashes on their heads. "Arizona you keep an eye on them Amelias calling."

"Y/n! Where are you and Arizona?! We need you in surgery whats holdin-" She starts before I cut her off. "Amelia, me and Arizona are stuck behind a massive pile up on the highway, we're okay but we can't get through and we need to make sure these people are okay. Can you alert the the pit." I try and give her as much information as I can. "It's a five car pile up, 2 cars are flipped and theres only 6 casualties. Three of the casualties are conscious and breathing but three are still stuck in the vehicles." I explain.

*30 minutes later*

"We're on our way, Amelia, with 4 ambulances ahead of us." Arizona says down the phone as we drive down the highway. "Good, I managed to push back the surgery by an hour so you have 20 minutes." Amelia shouts down the phone as we can hear the pit piling up.

We pull up in the car park and we both quickly run in to the hospital. "Get in your scrubs and up to OR 4." Amelia says as she runs past us putting her hair into her scrub cap. "Okay then" Arizona grabs my hand as we start running towards the residency lounge. I get into my scrubs and meet Arizona outside OR 4 and we start quickly scrub in. "Morning Amelia, sorry for the delay." I say as I take my spot behind the boy.

*6 hours later*

Arizona sits down on the sofa in the attending's lounge as I stand in the door. "You can come in you know, you don't have to stand out there." She says through a giggle. I walk into the attending's lounge as Meredith Grey walks in. "Ooh, you must be our new peds resident." Meredith says. "Yeah, I'm y/n, it's a pleasure to meet you." I say holding my hand out. "Ooooh Arizona let a resident in the Attending's lounge" Meredith says.

Arizona starts to blush. "Now you're blushing!" I say through a giggle. "Oh get a room" Alex Karev says as he walks in the room. Me and Arizona exchange a look. I leave the room and find an on call room.

Me: I'm in the on call room :)

Arizona: Coming ;)

As soon as I hear the knock at the door I let her in and lock the door before we start kissing. We both knew it was coming but we both needed a push. Of all people to thank it was Karev. "How long have we got" Arizona says between kisses. "We've got 15 minutes left of our break." I say as she pushes me onto the bed. We keep kissing until we hear someone trying to open the door "FUCK" someone shouts from the other side of the door. Me and Arizona sit there and try and hid our giggles.

We kissed for 15 minutes straight and then we clean ourselves off. "That was amazing, we should do it more often" she said winking at me as we left the on call room. "Yeah we should" i say nudging her.

*End of shift*

"Hey, i'm getting a takeout tonight if you want to join me?" I say to Arizona as we get into her car. I know it's moving quickly but it just feels right.

"Ooh yeah, what are we thinking, Indian, Chinese, Pizza?" She said as she was pulling out of the car park. "I'm thinking Pizza" I reply as we make our way back to my apartment.

When we get to my apartment building Arizona pulls into the car park behind and we make our way up to the penthouse. "9th Floor, must be a great apartment to be up so high?" Arizona says as we stand in the lift. I giggle, "well yeah, the penthouse is always the best apartment" the gawking look on her face as she realises I have the penthouse.

I open the door to the apartment and Arizona walks in all wide eyed and in shock. "Woah! This is like Jackson's place but only better" She says. "Jackson??" I reply as I'm still getting to know the staff. "Avery, Dr Jackson Avery" Arizona clears up.

We sit on the balcony and watch the sunset while we wait for our pizza to arrive. It's silent, but a nice silent. I sit there admiring the sunset and turn to look at Arizona when I realise she's been looking at me. "What?" I ask with a giggle. "You're just so gorgeous" she replies. I blush as the doorbell rings. "I'll get it" I head to the door and take the pizza off the delivery guy. I head to the kitchen and grab two wine glasses and pour us a glass of red each.

Arizona walks over to the kitchen island and we sit there with our pizza and wine and just talk. It was nice, no medical talk just normal talk. I mean we are still getting to know each other and it's nice to have made a friend in Seattle already, maybe even more than friends.

*phone ding*

Amelia: Hey, Riley's scans look great after the surgery, just thought you'd like to know :)

Me: Thank You, oh I'm glad. It was so nice to scrub in today thank you!

Amelia: No worries :)

"Who was that?" Arizona asks being nosy. "Amelia, updating me on Riley's scans, I asked her before if she'd update me" I reply, Arizona smiles so wide and then takes my hand and we head to the sofa.

The sun is set and we sit and watch the stars for a while until Arizona asks, "Can I?" I mean i don't know what she wants but I say, "Of course" and then she starts kissing me, over and over. We slowly move to the bedroom while kissing and we fall onto the bed. We both let out a laugh as we lie there. "You're amazing y/n" Arizona breathes. "I'm glad, coz you're my first" I reply. "Don't feel like you have to leave by the way. Stay over." I say without a thought. "I haven't got any clothes" She replies. "Zona, i have a walk in closet i'm sure i have something that'll fit you" i say as i laugh.

I walk to the closet with a cuddly Arizona behind me and i grab her a pair of pyjamas and say she can wear whatever she wants tomorrow.

We head to bed and cuddle before we kiss each other goodnight. "The one person we have to thank for this is bloody Karev!" Arizona says with a little giggle. I love her laugh it's so precious.

"Night gorgeous!" I say to Zona. She replies, "Night beautiful". We fall asleep so quickly.

*6 weeks later*

Zona <3: what time you in today?

Me: 12.30 why?

Zona <3: just in time for lunch! Meet me at the cafeteria at 12! i miss you

Me: okay x

I get out of bed and take a shower before drying and curling my hair. I quickly put on some mascara and brow gel before grabbing my bag and rushing out the door. I grab a taxi and head to the hospital. "Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital please" i say to the driver.

I get to the hospital and head straight to the cafeteria where I see a gorgeous Zona waiting for me. She runs to me, "it's been ages babe" I giggle as I hug her and give her a kiss. "Zona, you saw me yesterday!" I say laughing. "Yesterday was like years ago! I need to see you everyday!" Zona says while still hugging me.

We've been talking about moving in together as nearly every day we're at each other's places. But also nobody at work knows we are even a thing. Well they might know but we haven't told them.
