It's been two weeks since Sofia was caught skipping school for the first time, yes first time. She has skipped school at least 3 times a week. It's gotten to the point where the school are requiring us to sign her in and out of school.

Amelia, Arizona and I all had the day off today so we decided to invite Amelia round for a coffee, we wanted to know if she knew anything. I quickly vacuumed the house while Arizona began making a coffee. The door bell rang so I ran to open it. "Amelia, how are you?" I ask knowing the answer. "Worried. Are you guys okay?" She asks. "It's getting to us, I'm not going to lie to you." I reply as Amelia pulls us both into a hug. "Come in, sit down." Arizona says placing down the three cups of coffee.

We all sit and chat trying to fill each other in on both Sofia and Betty. "I wish Sofia had never gotten in with that crowd." Arizona begins. It was an innocent statement but obviously Amelia took it the wrong way. "What do you mean 'That Crowd', that crowd is Betty. They are all troubled I know but I'm trying Arizona." Amelia bursts. "Woah I didn't mean it in that way." Arizona says. "Well what did you mean then?" Amelia stands up. "Please calm down." I say trying to calm the situation. "I meant, Sofia was so close with Zola and kids her age but she somehow got introduced to older kids who she wants to be like." Arizona says.

It gets slightly heated and the blonde and the brunette begins shouting at each other. I understand where both of them are coming from. "Right, stop please. I can't have you ripping each others hair out. Sofia and Betty are both our biggest priorities right?" I say and they both nod. "Right so we need to look out for them. We can't be arguing because both sides of this is difficult. We are all worried." I say as the two women calm down.

Theres a long silence until Amelia says, "I'm sorry for lashing out" Arizona looks over at her and apologises also. They hug and in that moment I think they realised that they both feel the same about this situation. "I was going to go and park at the school to make sure Betty doesn't leave today if you want to join me." Amelia said. It sounds really creepy but in this situation we want them to be safe. Both Arizona and I agree and soon enough we are in Amelia's car driving towards the school. "Owen and I got caught at the front of the school by the principal but we are allowed to park in the car park behind school." Amelia says as she pulls into the school car park.

We sit in the car just talking and observing the gates. We sit in the car for about 2 hours when we notice a small group of girls sneak out through the gate. They make their way to the bushes and stand there. It was Sofia, Betty and another girl. Amelia held Arizona back until they both saw what Betty was handing Sofia. Betty gave Sofia a little packet. Amelia and Arizona both jumped out of the car and stormed over to the girls. Amelia takes the packet out of Sofias hands and chucks it down the sewage drains. "hey!" Betty said to Amelia. Arizona takes Sofias hand and starts to walk her back to the school. "No. Get off me." She shouts at Arizona. "Sofia. This has gotten out of hand. Why are you doing this?" Arizona says trying to reason. I keep myself in the car, not wanting to cause more of a scene. "Because you keep babying me, I'm a teenager, you don't need to drop me off at school and kiss me goodbye. I'm not a baby." Sofia shouts at Arizona. "i'm only trying to keep you safe-" Arizona begins before Sofia interrupts. "Just stop it. I'm not your real daughter anyway. I hate you! I wish you had never met my mom." Sofia says before running off.

Arizona stands there. Numb. Amelia pulls her into a hug. "She doesn't mean that Arizona." Amelia says. I jump out of the car and run towards Arizona. "Hey, hey she did not mean that okay." Arizona falls into my arms as she just cries. Betty and the other girl go back into the school and Amelia drives me and Arizona home.

We see Sofia walking towards the house on the drive home but we decide to leave her to hopefully calm down. I'm hoping that when she gets home she apologises to Arizona. I've never seen her so hurt before. I sit in the back with Arizona so she has someone to cry into. "I can't believe she said that!" She said quietly and numbly. She had gone white like a ghost and is covered in goosebumps. "Babe please have a sip of water." I say handing her a bottle. "No, if I drink that I'll be sick" She says. I keep hold of her hand until we pull into the driveway. "Thank you for dropping us off Amelia." I say as she starts to drive away.

Once Sofia got home she stared at me and Arizona on the sofa and just stormed upstairs. We called Callie and told her exactly what had happened. Callie was appalled at Sofias behaviour. "Right, don't tell Sofia but I'm coming to get her and she's coming back to New York." Callie says on the phone. Arizona is heartbroken that her daughter is moving back to New York but she also has a sense of happiness as maybe she won't have her daughter screaming at her every time she sees her.

We end the call with Callie and I start making dinner. I'd made some grilled chicken and some pasta mixed in with salad. Sofia comes down for the food "Salad, are you joking me! I'm going out!" She says as she storms out the house. "Curfews 9pm" I shout after her. She slams the door and leaves. Arizona looks at me, "All I did was worry about her and this is the thanks I get! I'm fed up of her!" I look at Arizona. "Maybe having some time away will be good! And not telling her will mean she can't argue" I reason. "I hope so, I just want my daughter back." Arizona explains.

Arizona and I sit at the table and eat our dinner, once finished, I place Sofia's meal into a tupperware box and into the fridge so she can have it for her lunch tomorrow. We stayed downstairs watching TV until Sofia got home. She got home at 8.59pm. "I'm going to bed!" Sofia stated as she stormed up the stairs. I pull Arizona to her feet and pull her into a tight hug. We stay there for a little while until Arizona collects herself. I help Arizona up the stairs to our bedroom before we get ourselves ready Arizona gets a text.

Calliope

Calliope:
Tickets booked! I'll pick her up from school with you!

Arizona:
Thank you, tomorrow is the day she usually gets the bus so maybe wait at the bus stop for her.

Calliope:
Great, thank you. I'll be having stern words with her.

Arizona:
Thank you. I'll see you tomorrow night. Code for the key box is 4287 :)

Calliope:
You still live at 6 Plough Grove?

Arizona:
Yeah. Thank you again. We'll keep you updated.

Callie meeting Sofia off the bus makes us both feel a sense of relief because it will shock her to see her. She wasn't happy when we called Callie, so maybe this will be the final straw.
