It's been a couple of weeks since Harriet was in hospital, she's okay now and she's home and better. 

But ever since that night, Arizona has become extremely protective over Sofia, she doesn't want anything, like anything, to happen to her. It started off with her messaging her every hour, which caused Sofia to get a detention because she was on her phone. But then it got to the point where she would make herself late for work to drop her off at school or she would leave work to go and pick her up. 

Sofia is 13, she's at that age where you don't want to be coddled by your parents anymore. I understand she wants some freedom but it's starting to get out of hand. Arizona dropped Sofia off at school this morning and headed to work. I had been on the night shift so once she arrived at work she passed me the car keys and I headed home. I pulled into the driveway as my phone started to ring. It was Sofia's school. 

"Hi, is this Sofia's mom?" the lady on the other end of the line asked. "No, but I'm her mom's partner, is everything okay?" I ask, hoping Sofia is okay. "Yeah, we just wanted to know why Sofia hasn't turned up for school." The lady answered. "But my partner dropped her off this morning?" I reply, confused. "Well, she never arrived for homeroom and has been marked absent for her first lesson too." The lady continued. "Oh, well thank you for telling me, I'll try and track her down and get her back to school by lunch time." I say as I start to worry. 

I drive back to the hospital to see Arizona filling out some paper work. "Babe, what are you doing back here?" Arizona says kissing me on the cheek. "Erm, Arizona, you did drop Sofia off this morning didn't you?" I ask. "Of course I did, I dropped her off at the door and watched her go in." She says with a smile on her face. The smile slowly faded as she realised what I was about to say. "The school called and said she never turned up this morning." I say quietly knowing Arizona is about to go into full blown panic mode. "Oh my god, where has she gone." she says, sitting herself down on a stool and trying to regulate her breathing. "I don't know but I think it's best that we both go looking for her" I say. "yes of course, let me page Karev so he can take over my services today." Arizona says as she begins to page Karev. 

After Karev arrives me and Arizona head towards the school. We drive past all of the local parks and shopping malls in case she's snuck off somewhere. We drive past a small slightly abandoned children's play area where we see Sofia and a few kids who look slightly older than she is. Arizona begins to unbuckle her seatbelt when Sofia looks over and glances at the car. She stands up from the group and starts walking over. 

Arizona rolls down her window, "What are you doing skipping school young lady?" she says in an angry tone. "Because I wanted to." Sofia said sassily. I'm sat in the drivers seat trying to remain calm myself because I know that when I was younger, if both my parents had a go at me I'd get upset.

"Get in the car" Arizona says. "No!" Sofia replied. "No? Right young lady get in the car or I'm putting your Mom on the phone!" Sofia gets in the car, I'm presuming Callie can be scary when she's angry. Sofia stays silent until we get back to school. "I'm not going in." She says with her arms crossed, "and why not? Has something happened?" I ask as I could see the steam coming out of Arizona's ears. "No nothings happened. I just don't see the point of school anymore. I just want to hang out with Betty and her friends." She says. Me and Arizona share a look recognising the name. "Betty? As in the girl Amelia's taken in?" Arizona says trying to remain calm. 

Sofia nods as if it was common knowledge. I see Arizona go to say something but I put my hand on her hand to stop her. "Fine, if you're not going in you have to come to work with us and study. It's either school or the hospital." I set down the options. "Fine, I'll go to school, at least I wont have her coddling me all day there! And don't pick me up I'll walk home." Sofia says as she gets out the car and walks into the school. I call the school back and let them know that we've dropped her off and they reassure that she has signed in.
