*the next morning*

Our alarm went off at the crack of dawn so we could get Sofias room finished. I went downstairs to make us some breakfast, I set up the fruit and pancakes on the kitchen table with our coffee and tea.

Arizona came downstairs in her dungarees and a mustard yellow top with her hair in two braids. Honestly, she looked dead cute. "Hey, sunshine!" I say walking over to her and giving her a kiss. "Sunshine? Thats a new one." Arizona replies, "Maybe new to your ears but I've always said you're my sunshine" I say as I pass her a plate of pancakes. I had already finished so I head upstairs and get into a sort of matching outfit. 

I put on my dungarees with a baby pink top and i put my hair into a ponytail and finish it with a bandana. I come down stairs and show her that we are twinning. "Oh stop it!" Zona says as I walk into the kitchen. "Stop what?" I reply. "You look so fit right now!" She says. "Well then lets get this room finished so we can go and get Sofia." I say as I kiss her before grabbing her hand and heading upstairs.

I started sorting Sofia's things into the storage bins and I put the new duvet set onto the duvet and bed. Once Arizona moved all of the furniture into the right spots we both put the storage bins in the cubby holes on the storage unit. Arizona made the bed while I sorted out the desk and stocked the snack trolley. 

"Right, we've got 4 hours until Sofia's flight lands so we can go and have some fun if you want" Arizona says as she looks at her phone for the time. She looks up from her phone to see me start to leave the room. "Hey, wait for me!" She says as she chases after me to the bedroom.

We decide to change into sweatpants and hoodies and chill downstairs. "I love you" I say to Arizona. She pulls me into a kiss. "How long have we got" I ask between kisses. "An hour till she lands so I think we should go." She says as she stands up. 

On the drive to SeaTac airport we stopped at Wendys and got ourselves some food to eat before we get Sofia so we can get her some food when she gets here. 

We got to SeaTac and saw that the flight is slightly delayed getting in, we sit in the car for a little bit until we get a text from Callie saying,

Calliope

Calliope: Just landed :) 

Arizona: Great, we'll head to Arrivals now.

I knew that Callie was going to be coming for a couple days so she could make sure Sofia got here okay, I was quite nervous to meet her because she's Arizonas ex-wife. They were a 'legendary' couple according to some interns. Arizona noticed my shift in demeanour, "Are you okay?" She asks as she rubs my arm. "Yeah, I'm just a little bit nervous." I reply not meeting her eyes. "Why?" She asks, getting slightly more concerned. "I mean, I'm about to meet your daughter and your ex wife. And I heard that you and your ex wife were legendary according to some interns, I just don't want to lose you." 

A singular tear falls down my cheek. Arizona wipes the tear and kisses me. "Hey, hey, hey, woah stop the tears. You are not losing me. Me and Callie, we're over, we've been over for years now. We only keep in touch for Sofia. Nothing will change the love I have for you y/n, I love you so so much and I'd scream it from the rooftops. Nobody, NOBODY will ever be able to get me away from you. I love you because you have shown me what it really means to love someone, you have showed me that you are here for me, and that I'm not just a chapter, you've shown me that I'm the rest of your story."

I start bawling at the fact that this is how Arizona feels towards me. I pull her in and kiss her as passionately as I could. I hold onto her for dear life, "thank you, I honestly don't know what to say because that is exactly how I feel about you. You are my great love story and nothing, not even death will be able to break us." 

We get out of the car and we walk into the airport, we get to Arrivals and there are a few people there waiting also. We keep a distance but still with visibility of the doors. We stand against a large metal pillar and lean on it. Arizona has her arm around me and I'm holding onto her hand. I lean my head on her shoulder while we wait. 

We start to see people slowly coming out of the doors and Arizona must've seen Sofia as she starts waving with her other hand. A tall woman with black hair and a small little girl with dark brown hair head towards us with their bags. "Mommy!" Sofia runs towards Arizona and she picks her up into a hug. I look at how happy Arizona is. "You must be Callie, I'm y/n its really nice to meet you." I say to Callie. "Hi, it's so nice to meet you, you must be Arizona's girlfriend." Callie says pulling me into a hug. I wasn't expecting her to be a hug person but it was nice. 

"Sofia, this is y/n, this mommy's girlfriend." Arizona says. Sofia walks over to me and gives me the biggest hug. "It's nice to meet you y/n, thank you for making my mommy happy again." My eyes fill with tears at Sofia's words. I hug Sofia back and then she runs back to Zona. "Would you like any help with bags or?" I say before Callie says, "No, no don't worry, I'm only here for a night before heading back to New York so I'm just going to check into the hotel round the corner." She picks up her bag. "Don't be silly, we'll drop you off at the hotel." Arizona says as she takes my hand. Callie picks up her and Sofia's bags while Sofia takes my hand as we walk to the car. 

We drop Callie off at the hotel before heading home. "Sofia, are you hungry?" I ask. "Yeah, can I get a McDonalds please?" She says politely. "Yeah of course you can sweetie." Arizona replies, heading into the McDonalds drive thru. We get Sofia a happy meal and me and Arizona got milkshakes. 

Once we got home Sofia asked where she was staying. "Baby, you're room of course" Arizona says. Sofia heads upstairs and we follow. "Oh My Gosh its amazing. Thank you!" She hugs Arizona. "It was mainly y/n, she designed everything and made sure you had everything you needed." Arizona continues. Sofia runs up to me, "Thank you y/n, I love you already!" I hold her in a hug until she jumps up and runs to her desk. "Could I have some paper please?" She asks. "In your desk drawers you've got pens, pencils, paper, all crafty stuff." I say as she opens the drawer and her eyes widen. 

Arizona looks at me, "You're honestly amazing. No wonder you want to work in Peds." She kisses my cheek. We head downstairs and pour ourselves a glass of wine each. We put the tv on and watch a couple of episodes of The Office. At 8pm Arizona goes upstairs to put Sofia to bed. As she comes back downstairs, "I've been demoted." Arizona says. "What do you mean?" I reply. "She wants you to tuck her in" she says through a giggle. I quickly put the blanket down on the sofa and head upstairs. 

I knock on Sofia's bedroom door. "Could you tuck me in please, y/n?" She says in her cute little tired voice. "Yeah of course I can" I walk over to her bed and I tuck her in. "Thank you so much for making Mommy happy again, last time I visited she seemed really sad." Sofia says. "Your Mommy makes me really happy too!" I reply. Sofia smiles at me before saying goodnight. I turn the light off before closing the door and heading downstairs. 

I sit down next to Zona and lay my head on her shoulder. We just sat peacefully watching tv. I must've dozed off because the next thing I remember was Zona placing me down in bed. "Hey, did I fall asleep?" I asked. "Yeah, I didn't want to wake you because you looked so peaceful so I brought you to bed." She kisses me on the forehead before I fell asleep again. 

Arizona's POV:

I kissed y/n's head before she fell asleep again, I got myself into some clean pyjamas and quickly washed my face before heading to bed myself. I've got my whole world under one roof and I've never been so happy.
