"Siguraduhin niyo lang na mag-e-enjoy ako dito kaysa sa Japan," naka-simangot na sabi ko kina Alisha habang nasa sasakyan kami. Today's the last day of our final exam ever in law school. Sabi nga nila, it's been a long time coming but we're here now. Ilang beses kong inisip na matatanggal na ako sa school. Parang naging ritual ko na na maghanap ng school na lilipatan kasi every end of the year, I felt like babagsak ako sa mga subjects ko...

But weirdly enough, nakaka-pasa naman ako sa mga subjects ko. I mean, nowhere near stellar grades, but who freaking cares? As long as pumasa ako, okay na 'yon. Anyone who would say otherwise can kiss my freaking ass.

Alisha rolled her eyes. "Japan's still gonna be there tomorrow."

"I know, but come on... Party? Again?"

Alisha shushed me. "Tonight's not just a party—it's the party."

It was my turn to roll my eyes. "If you say so."

Being a member of a sorority, I had been to countless parties. They're all the same, in my opinion. We'd get drunk, dance, flirt with some cute frat guys, and then repeat. At one point, nakaka-pagod na rin. So, when I was in my third year, I decided to slow down. Medyo mahirap din kasi iyong mga subject kaya naman ginamit ko iyon na reason para hindi sumama palagi kapag nagpaparty sila.

Also, I felt like medyo kailangan ko na magseryoso. Nung first and second year ko, BAR exam felt like million years away... Pero nung third year na ako? Nagstart na na maramdaman ko iyong pressure. Kasi after ng third year, fourth year na. Tapos ay BAR season na.

Grabe... ang bilis ng panahon!

"We're here!" Brianna announced.

Mentally, I was already preparing my luggage. Dapat kasi talaga mamaya na iyong flight ko papuntang Japan. That was my reward for finishing law school—I mean, hopefully, but the jury's still out! Pero Alisha convinced me to move my flight kasi dapat daw kaming magparty together after our exam.

Fine, whatever.

Another freaking party to add to the dozens of parties I attended.

Alisha had to drag me na para bang tatakbuhan ko sila. Papasok pa lang kami sa club, but I already saw a lot of familiar faces. It's been quite a while na nga rin pala... Buong fourth year kasi ay hindi talaga ako naka-party dahil sa dami ng ginagawa sa school. I would seriously rather sleep than drink. Sobrang nakakamatay iyong study load. Akala ko joke lang kasi naaral na naman namin dati 'yon, but as it turned out, sobrang nakaka-stress pala talaga siya. Imagine studying for a day iyong isang sem mo inaral before? It's maddening!

"What do you want?" Brianna asked me nung makarating kami sa couch namin.

"Sino nandito?" I asked kasi ang daming tao. Siguro dahil end of the school year party?

"The usual," she replied as she poured me a drink.

I looked around and frowned when I saw iyong table ng Alpha Phi. "Nandito si Zach?" I asked, frowning.

"Yeah, but let's just ignore him," she said. "If he bothers you, tell me immediately. His frat's aware naman what kind of a headache Zach is."

"Okay," I replied as I got the drink she poured me.

I sat on the couch and just watched as everyone around me was trying to get wasted—the others, tho, were already there. I mean, it was only 11PM. I'd argue that the night's still young, but baka na-stress lang din sila sa exam kanina kaya gusto na nilang malasing agad para malimutan namin iyong mga sinagot namin. Commrev kicked my freaking ass earlier.
