CAM'S POINT OF VIEW

CAM couldn't focus in on anything as he slowly lifted his head off of the ground, his forehead throbbing as he stood up on shaky legs. The smell of smoke and wood filled his nose, causing him to cough into his elbow, unable to breathe properly due to the amount of smoke he'd inhaled.

He could hear sirens and serious voices all around him as firetrucks, ambulances and police cars were pulling up to the scene. "Fuck," he mumbled to himself as he looked in front of him, at the Hopes house which was now engulfed in bright flames.

They were going to be in deep trouble because of this.

Lucy. Lockwood.

He turned around, the panic starting to set in as he saw no sign of his friends.

"Lucy! Lockwood!" he yelled in between harsh coughs. He blinked repeatedly as he tried to spot his friends, his eyes watering and stinging as the smoke kept on passing by him.

As he started to gain proper conscience of his senses, he could feel the sting in his hand and left shoulder, due to the fire inside the house.

"Lockwood!" he called out again, not noticing the paramedics who were approaching him.

He shrugged them off as they tried to grab him and calm him down. He blocked them out as they repeatedly told him that they needed him to calm down and co-operate so they could get him to the hospital.

No. I'm not going to the fucking hospital. He thought over and over. Where's Lockwood? Where's Lucy? Are they okay?

His thoughts rambled on and on in a panicked manner, which unfortunately isn't a good mix after jumping several meters down from a burning house. He could feel his heard start to feel light, as his vision blurred around the edges.

No, no, no. I'm not going there.

He didn't have a choice as his legs collapsed beneath him, and his vision blacked out again.
