CAM'S POINT OF VIEW:

THE DINING ROOM WAS TENSE AS THE five agents all sat or stood around the table. Nobody properly knew what had happened the night before, what had gone down between Annie and George, but whatever it was had meant that Cam hadn't seen them exchange a single word, hug, and rarely a look.

Not only did it make the mood feel incredibly awkward and thick when the two were in the same room, but it was making it feel harder to solve their current case when the agencies top two researchers weren't on speaking terms.

Cam had gone to check in on Annie last night, after his deeply frustrating interaction with the Skull - or Skully as Annie and him liked to joke when the ghastly thing wasn't around - hoping to see how she was doing, but when he had peeked his head in he had found that the redhead was sleeping soundly.

George was practically bouncing off the roof in excitement as he waited for Lockwood to sit down so that he could explain his findings on the Bickerstaff case. Cam sat beside the boy, twiddling his thumbs awkwardly, sharing silent glances with Annie who sat next to Lucy.

"I should catch you guys up on my Bickerstaff research," George commented with a grin, not getting a moment to explain anything though, "What happened to the window?" Lockwood asked, carefully rapping the glass panel which had several large cracks throughout it, before sitting in the chair on the end of the table, glancing at Annie and George expectantly.

"Oh . . . a bird flew into it," Cam caught the small roll of Annie's eyes.

"Terrible liar, isn't he," Cam almost sighed aloud at the sound of the (unfortunately) familiar voice. The only acknowledgement he gave the Skull was a swift glance, before he looked at Lucy to see if she heard, but she didn't look like she'd heard it.

Weirdass ghost.

George was swift to steer the topic to his original comment, "So, it turns out he was a highly respected clinician, psychiatrist, a pioneer of new techniques. He held secret gatherings in his house in Hampstead, and they would of remained secret too, if it wasn't for Mary Dulac,"

The four members all looked at him with confused expressions, "Who's Mary Dulac?" Lockwood asked the question on everyone's mind.

"She's a guest that went missing. Just vanished into thin air after attending one of his meetings," Luce explained, glancing at one of the papers with cursive notes.
