CAM'S POINT OF VIEW

CAM looked up at the large staircase in front of the group, feeling slightly uneasy in his stomach, but he quickly pushed it down. There wasn't time for those emotions when on the job.

He walked close behind Lockwood, Annie and Lucy walking in sync after him and George brought up the back of the group. Cam rested his right hand on his rapier, looking up and around at the walls and space around the staircase, listening and watching for visitors.

"Sense anything?" Lockwood asked him, "If this is the Screaming Staircase, it's being very quiet,"

"Maybe it's taken the night off," George joked in a serious tone as they reached the top of the landing, "Like we should have done," Lucy added on.

While the group continued walking up the stairs, Cam noticed that Lockwood had paused at the landing, staring out into the lower room, "Everything okay?" he checked in, the boy's head turning to look at him, "Hm? Oh, yes," Cam nodded slightly before he continued after the group.

Every one of them had torches in hand as they walked around the landing, an eerie feeling set in the building as they kept a careful eye out.

"Everyone ready?" Lockwood asked quietly as the group approached the first door; the Red Room.

Nobody replied, because whether they were ready or not wouldn't matter, because they'd all have to enter the room either way. Lockwood opened the door carefully, peeking a head in first as he shone his torch in. The door creaked painfully as it opened slowly.

One by one each member entered the room.

"There's bad energy in these walls," George commented from the back of the group; Cam spared a quick glance at him before wandering over to one of the other walls, feeling a rush of negative emotions wash over him as his fingertips met the wallpaper.

He sucked in a breath as he closed his eyes, feeling all the emotions from the monks and past people who have visited the Hall and been brutally murdered there.

His Listening soon merged with his Touch, and he could soon hear the terrorising screams of the victims of the Hall.

He removed his hand as the voices grew louder, making his way back to the group, in between Annie and Lockwood.

"It's not very red though, is it?" George commented on the room's appearance and Cam agreed. Instead of being red as expected, the room was a mix of blue and greens, with golden decoration across the roof and walls.
