"What is that?" Poli asked with a look of confusion and slight disgust.

Jin had created an new invention and it was rather confusing. It was an orange pole with some completely random objects attached to it. "Well, I was thinking about when Cleany had a really bad case of the hiccups, right? My invention never worked but I thought I'd try to improve it just in case anyone has a hiccup problem again!"

The rescue members exchanged doubtful glances with one another but didn't object. 

"Helly, want to test it out?" This time Helly shook his head. "I'm always the Guiney pig, choose someone else."

"Poli?"

"Erm, thank you but...no thank you." He inched slowly bad towards the wall with a worried smile.

Jin turned to Roy. "Here, you do it. Come here."

Roy looked surprised at the sudden command. "But I don't-" "Just do it!" Roy bit his cheek before slowly nodding and driving up to the thing. "So...Is it supposed to scare me or what-?"

Jin smiled, "I can't tell you that."

Alarm and worry flashed in his gaze as he tensed up, expecting something sudden. Instead, he felt something soft and light brush his side. Instantly he flinched away, giggling. He quickly composed himself and moved away awkwardly. "Uh, I don't think I'd be good for this, how about you-"

"I barely even touched you." Jin said, "Come on,"

Roy shook his head. "I'm sorry but I really don't want to do it...I mean, if that is supposed to scare someone you're already failing miserably. Sorry."

Jin crossed her arms, frowning. "But that was only one setting, plus that was supposed to be a distraction for the big scare. Perhaps you should stop being so sensitive and actually try it. Unless you too scared~."

Poli winced at Jin's bold words but didn't say anything. Honestly, he felt bad for Roy for being forced into this but there's not much they could do to make her change her mind. Amber obviously shared the same thoughts.

Roy let out a long sigh. "Fine."

After a few moments of nothing something fell in front of him and he looked towards Jin obvious confusion. Jin was staring at the controller, not paying attention to anything going around her. Then something above him flicked his back lightly, causing him to jerk away with a short uncomfortable yelp.

"Roy? That was barley anything, are you...are you ticklish?" Jin sneered, already laughing at the sight. Roy quickly realized that it was pretty obvious, judging on how he had reacted.

"I-what-no!" He stammered, moving away from the contraption as well as Jin.

"Ha! So 'fearless' Poli is afraid of tiny caterpillars, and big strong Roy is ticklish! The things I could do!" Helly said manically, smirking.

Roy felt rather embarrassed, feeling stressed at the fact that they all had to make fun of it. Before any of them could say more, Jin's invention fell to the ground in pieces.

"No!" Jin cried, attempting to pick it up and fix it. "Oh come on! Not again!" 

Roy took the opportunity to escape, sneaking into his room while everyone had their backs turned.

Poli waited for a few moments outside Roy's room, since the incident this morning, he hadn't come out. The others assumed he was out on patrol, but Poli had seen him sneak off. Although he felt pretty bad. He felt the same way when the others had found out about his secret as well, but he'd gotten pretty used to it at this point.

After a few moments, he knocked on Roy's door with his tire, waiting for his response. After almost a minute of waiting, and no response, he knocked again. "Roy please, I know you're in there." He called in softly.

"Come in," A soft voice grumbled from the other side.

Poli came in quickly, closing the door after him. "Hey Roy," he greeted him softly. Roy was transformed on the floor of the room, staring at the ceiling. His crane was laid against the wall lazily. Poli transformed himself and sat down beside him.

"It's been a minute," He started, going over the mental script he had come up with before he entered. "are you alright?"

"Fine," He mumbled, avoiding Poli's gaze.

Poli suddenly felt a rush of frustration, not because of Roy, but because of how Jin had forced him to do all of this, against his will, leading the others to make fun of it. He hated seeing his friend--lover so upset.

Without saying anything he laid down and wrapped his arms around him. The gesture seemed to lightly surprise Roy, but he eventually hugged back and they stayed like that for who knows how long, enjoying each others company.

After a while Poli sat up, "We should probably go out on patrol now." He commented, looking at his transmitter.

"Later.." Roy mumbled, latching onto Poli's arm still. Poli glanced down at him with an amused smile. "Maybe this will motivate you." His smile turned into a smirk when he saw the surprise on Roy's face. "Hu-Hey!!"

Roy squirmed around on the floor as Poli suddenly began to tickle him. "S-Stop!" he giggled, desperately trying to Poli away.

"Never! This is revenge!"

Roy couldn't reply through his laughing fit, finally swatting at Poli's face, making him pull away. "Fine, but you better watch you back." Poli crossed his arms triumphantly as his friend wiped tears from his eyes.

"I hate you," Roy said when he finally got himself to stop giggling.

Poli raised a brow. "Payback for when you tricked me with all of those caterpillars a while ago," he snorted, suddenly looking uncomfortable at the memory. He quickly shook it away.

"I'm sorry-just don't do that again!" he looked tiredly at his friend, although his gaze was brighter. Roy pulled himself to his feet, standing beside Poli, yet keeping a distance.

Poli smiled. "I won't do that again...not soon at least," he winked before walking out, transforming and heading outside. It wasn't long before Roy was following suit, and they decided to patrol the town together.
